Stop the press! Where in the world did this come from? 'AirWave' in the UK writes...
Over here in the U.K. this morning on Capital FM (London's top radio station) they were interviewing Justin Timberlake as he's doing some gigs here and he confirmed that he had received a script for the Superman movie but he was not being asked to play Jimmy Olsen but the part of the Man of Steel himself.
I don't know if he was joking or not as he sounded quite serious but he said that he could not say anymore on the matter. What do you think?

Well, when you sit back and think about it, how could anyone else really be considered for the role? I mean Justin Timberlake just screams Superman like a drag queen belting out a Cher song.

heh, with Superhype you generally have to wait a few days and let them print their "whoops, that's not true" retraction. :)
I can't image someone would seriously think of that lame punk as Superman. They have to plan for their suspected target audience. Most boy band members have a rather low score in a Superman movie audience.
This prolly will be voided out as an error in a few days/weeks.

Why not? They wanted Ashton Kutcher for the part at one point.

It's been like this for ten years and counting. Like I said previously, this movie's being made by people who hate the material and want to "re-imagine" Superman in their own image (see www.punktzine.com for a run-down of what's been going on).
The rumored casting of Timberlake as Superman is just another in a long line of piss-poor ideas by people who wouldn't know kryptonite from cubic zirconia.
