Wizard has let slip that Superboy will be making an appearance in The Legion #25 in October. They are running a poll to vote which team, the Legion or the Teen Titans, that he should belong to.

What do you think?

Damn, this is perplexing. On the one hand, I don't particularly want the current version of Superboy to be a part of the Legion. However, if I vote for Titans, would that be construed as the Legion losing him or something?

Keep Clone-El the fuck away from the Legion! They screwed with the Legion so bad to get rid of the REAL Superboy, and I'd consider it a slap in the face to have that cheap copyright-warmer in the current title. [AAAHHHH!!!] [you sunnuva...] [...rassamnfrackin...]

Let him join the Titans. Sounds like they're losing a few members lately and could use an extra warm body. There's a long list of Legion members I'd like to see return before Superboy or SuperClone anyways - like Tenzil or Andromeda.

I don't understand why DC is so adamant about not bringing back the original Superboy. And now they're discontinuing Elseworlds stories, so I guess there's no chance of a nostalgia trip for us old-timers.

Yay!

I've been waiting for this since he got his Legion uniform all those years ago!!

Maybe he'll start wearing that one instead of the black t shirt and blue jeans.

I am certainly not interested in Clone-El being a Legionnaire on a regular basis...

Superboy in occasional appearances with the Legion couild be fun ... his previous appearances and rivalry with Brainiac 5 had moments. But not on a regular basis.

Moving Superboy forward in time opens up a lot of opportunities: he can age, get married, have kids, and perpetuate Kryptonian powers to his offspring...none of which are open to writers while he is in the 20th centruy.

I liked the current Superboy back when Karl Kesel was writing his adventures, and I had no problem with him as a member of Young Justice, but I won't be buying the new Titans series: I'll be buying the new Uncle $crooge series instead.
The one Superboy-related story I do still want to see is the secret of the Scavenger - and since we know Scavenger is still alive in the Legion's era (or was when SB visited), perhaps we'll get that story.

Personally I gotta go with the Titans. I mean histotically yea "Superboy and the Legion" is all good. And I really don't mind him guest starring every not and then. But as for a full time member I want him on the Titans if only because the Titans have two things the Legion doesn't. Robin and Impulse. Keep that great trio together I say.

I'd stick Superboy in the Titans. I can see why folks might want him back in the Legion, but he really has nothing to do with this version of the Legion at all...and that's just the way I like it personally.

This is a copy of my reply on the main DC boards. Sorry for repeating myself.

If Superboy needs a team then I say the Legion. (and for easy of reference Kon shall remain Kon whilst Kal shall always be Superboy to me. Damn DC for erradicting him) [you sunnuva...]

Kon El has met Kal El on a number of occasions, during Zero Hour and in his own comic. The Legion met Superboy during Zero Hour and as someone has also said, the pocket universe still exisits due to the existance in the DC universe of the Matrix Character, so we know a version of the Legion has met the pocket universe Superboy, who may or may not be the same as the Hypertime Superboy met by Kon who may or may not be the original Superboy.

Now my brain hurts and I need a lie down. [eh?]

But a gut reaction says put Kon with the titans, and Superboy with the Legion. Actually having the Legion remember the meetings with Kon, whilst having to adjust to the Kal El Superboy (complete with boy scout attitude)could cause some good character interaction. I mean, imagine Triads confusion when she try's to vamp it up with Superboy the way she did with Kon. [humina humina]

I've got to go with the Titans. Sure, he's worked with the Legion but it's the other ex-YJ members he's really conncected to.

I see no reason for Superboy II to be in the Legion. He has NO real Legion history. I guess he DID save Valor from lead poisoning by zapping him into the Phantom Zone (again?), but that's not enough. Neither is the fact that he has the same name as a former Legionnaire. Keep Kon-el in the 21st century.
