So it just occurred to me that one interesting aspect of the scene where Quake Kid puts the mack on Drura is that it is (I believe)the first example of a romantic exchange between a human and an alien where that isn't a big deal. Compare QK's attitude towards Drura with Janice Warren's "Ooooh... he's icky!" attitude towards Cham when they first meet. And yet here we have someone who's just as alien as Cham, but who the human doesn't find unattractive for her alienness.
So, is THAT something in Quake Kid's favor?
