Name: Bill
Location: Sunny Buffalo, NY
Age: 29
Occupation: Um, don't know. Seems to change every couple of weeks. Last week I was the 2nd shift Operations Supervisor for a local delivery company. This week I'm the 3rd shift Ops Supervisor. Some time later this month I'll either be the 1st shift Ops Supervisor or I'll be in charge of the package tracking system. Haven't decided yet.
Former DCMB Name: Loser Lad. Also variously known as Brainiac 69, Alternate ID of Sharklad and a few others I can't quite recall at the moment. :)

Favorite Legionnaires: Probably all of 'em at one point or another. Except, of course Monstress. Can't stand the Monstress...

First Legion Issue read: LSH v.3 #51 - The Trial of Brainiac 5 (October, 1988). Bought it at a Waldenbooks at the mall. Sat in the Food Court and read it while waiting for my Mom to get done shopping. Been a fan ever since.

Favorite Era: Probably late v.2 and v.3 (Levitz, especially with Lightle and Larocque pencilling).

Occupation all i will say is employed, happy, not making a lot, got benefits and work with wonderful people.

Former DCMB screen name (if different) Mordru
PROGENITOR, and now this name, i really wanted to take SPOTLIGHT KID, which is a song by a group RAINBOW, but i thought that i would take my home name, and i kinda dig it.

Favorite Legionnaires god! well without a doubt it was superboy, he was the only reason i bought legion and then when they went solo it was a struggle the first little bit. I also love wildfire, Invisable Kid 2, Mon-el, element lad, brainiac 5, phantom girl, ultra boy, reflecto, timber wolf. all pre boot
post boot

Favorite writers/artists/etc, levitz
Favorite Legion memory (either story-based or your experiences/reactions/revelations/etc. regarding the book)
great darkness saga and the relecto storyline, and just going sightly before with the death of ultra boy at the hands of pulsar stargrave

Location: Melbourne, Australia
Age: Roaring Twenties.
Occupation: Editor, Designer, Rock Star

Former DCMB screen name: Was Star Boy, still Star Boy.

Favorite Legionnaires: Star Boy (natch), Invisible Kid, Xs, Brainiac 5, Gates
First LSH issue read: Legion Year One Annual 1994 ('Deaths' of Apparition and Andromeda)
Favorite issue/arc/era: Post-Boot Legion (by default - I've not managed to delve to deeply into pre-Crisis stuff) - fave arc would be one where the Legion take down President Chu, or the recent DnA stuff.
Favorite creators: Abnett & Lanning, Coipel, Armstrong, Peyer (I said I'm a post-Boot guy!)
Favorite Legion memory: Seeing the first post-Boot appearances of Thom (being ruthlessly picked on by Gim), and thinking "Wow - here's a guy I can relate to... Tries hard, but still gets crapped on."

Favorite non-Legion comics: Planetary, Hellboy, Powers, Ultimate X-Men, Ultimates, Wildcats 3.0, Global Frequency, Top Ten (RIP).
Other hobbies/collections/etc: Music - my band's in a 'redevelopment' phase, but we'll be back soon... Oh, in my real life, I help put out a book every now and then.

Hey, now that I'm here I'll play too. I think I've filled out about four of these by now...!

Name: David

Location: Horse Cave, KY aka the Middle of Nowhere

Age: 43

Occupation: graphic designer, in between jobs

Former DCMB screen name (if different) Zoe's Love Slave, Stately Wayne Manor

Favorite Legionnaires: pre-Terraformer KINETIX, Brainy, XS

First LSH issue read: I don't remember the issue #, but it was an Adventure issue with the Super-Stalag of Space story. The first one bought with my own money was Superboy/LSH 201.

Favorite issue/arc/era: #6, the Bierbaum/Sprouse Cera Kesh/Emerald Empress/Fatal Five arc (Legionnaires 2-6, I think), the Bierbaum/Sprouse Legionnaires era. Didn't last long, unfortunately. [no no no]

Favorite writers/artists/etc: Writers: Abnett & Lanning, Cary Bates, the Bierbaums (but in all fairness, Legionnaires 1-14 are the only TMB issues that I've read). Artists: Dave Cockrum, Chris Sprouse/Karl Story, Oli Coipel. Batista's not bad.

Favorite Legion memory (either story-based or your experiences/reactions/revelations/etc. regarding the book): My earliest Legion-related memory was some of us neighborhood kids playing super-heroes. When we played the Legion, I was always Sun Boy or Lightning Lad because they had red hair. I remember being really impressed and excited by the Bates/Cockrum S/LSH, only to see Cockrum leave two issues later and be replaced by Mike Grell, whose work I've never had any use for. Sorry, Lash. Hunting down the back issues of Legionnaires I missed (I started with #5) in comics shops in Dayton, Ohio, where I was training to use a graphics system. Picking up the postboot LSH with the cover that featured Tinya's hand coming out of Jo's chest, and getting interested enough to start buying again, then dropping it about a year prior to DnAnO taking over, then having to go back and track down the Legion of the Damned issues I had missed. Kind of a reoccurring motif in my Legion history. Being XS-ively concerned that XS was going to die in the issue that showed Garth gazing at her hand buried in rubble. Being an early member of the LMBP, and the great folks therein, and many crazy DCMB and Yahoo! threads. That's about all I can think of...

Favorite non-Legion comics: currently published: Jack Staff, Hellboy and BPRD-related titles, Lucifer, Hellblazer, JLA, Catwoman, Daredevil, the Ultimates, 100 Bullets, and many many more.

Other hobbies/collections/etc: Music-collecting, playing; sports, esp. pro football (go Falcons) and baseball; blogging (see link below, I also review comics weekly) and movies.

One of my old buddies (he was from Casey County, KY, which is one of those "drink the beer then eat the can" kinda places [wink] ) had a saying for HIS personal take on the age of sexual consent. I present it now for the amusement and edification of the entire Legion HQ: <clearing throat>

"If she's old enough to go to the store, then she's old enough to buy bread."

I've been on the DC Boards, and shocking and making people feel old by revealing my age since I was 15 in 1999.

I used to be a lot more mature, erudite, and a better speller... but some things got jettisoned over time.

I'm here for the first time exploring and there is somebody else calling himself a Polar Boy name. Not only that he's from Australia as well.
I use the name over at the DC boards but maybe its rude of me to keep it here maybe I should change. Thinking hurts my head [eh?]

I have had a play around with my profile and you can't change your user name. So it looks like it's my destiny to be a crappy clone on these boards and probably cannon fodder in the season finally.
