This is such a classic Lightle cover, it makes me feel young again!

I had already told Steve I'd go broke trying to buy the original piece from the issue where Tasmia is mostly unclothed. I'll have to take out a second mortgage to make sure I get my hands on this cover as well.

Oh, and I just noticed the link is used is dated for next Tuesday. My source must have somehow stumbled across it before it was published since I can't access Comics Continuum's info for next Tuesday yet. Perhaps I better save the image out before the link is deleted.

Actually that hand/eyeball thingie is from a previous (preboot) Legion of Super-Heroes issue. Anybody remember?

Holy Canoli, that looks great!! The new costume's pretty darn sexy. I'm not totally sold on the "codpiece" there, but at least part of her costume affords some protection

It also doesn't look like it'll go with an L* belt though. Will she be sporting a Legion symbol somewhere?

It sounds like some of you like the new costume and some have reservations. That's cool. As for the Lack of Legion insignia, belts, fanny packs and stuff ... I don't see 'em as necessary. The stylized S that appears on her costume could be taken as a reference to her Shadow Champion status. It's also a nod to her Shadow Lass history. I once asked Jeff Moy about the big yellow S on Umbra's costume and he told me that, at the time he designed the new look, he wasn't aware that Tasmia's new code name would be Umbra.

The Jolly Roger dudes who colored this cover did a fine job. My only complaint is that it appears that they are mixing metals on the costume. There should be no gold/yellow included in this costume design. The metal pieces at Tasmia's wrists, shoulders, and pelvis should all be silver. I'd also prefer that the ear rings, hair accessories and S symbol were blood red, as in the attached sketch.

This is the color guide that I supplied to DC. My only change was deciding that the variegated patterning on her costume should not be material, but areas where her exotic blue skin could peek through.

Steve done a dam fine job there! And the colourist really made Tasmia's blue glow. It's probably my favourite cover since this series began.
