Hey, there's plenty of threads for BOOGERS BOY and ASSES LASS, and I love 'em all, but let's get SERIOUS in this one!

CULT is a Carggite who had his DnA fragged up by Ra's Al Ghul's experiemnts. Now he can not only split into 3, but into INFINITE numbers of selves. The catch: Only his 3 "prime" selves have any personality/will. All other selves are drones of the Prime 3 selves.

I was thinkin' he could be wicked-kewl on a super-villain team sponsored by The Dark Circle (giving his "CULT" codename multiple possible meanings!)

Silly Lashie - since when are we able to be serious? Especially on a weekend....

However...

JINX - a bewitchingly lovely female (of course) specialist in voodoo and other occult practices. One of the good guys, but feared and misunderstood. Less wide-raging powers than the White Witch, she makes bad things happen to bad people. So if you're a hypocrite, or a villain pretending to be a benefactor (are you listening, Universo?) watch out - 'cause she's watching you.

(Sounds a bit like the anti-Santa Clause, but not so fat. And no beard.)

Cramey-- ever since Kelley introduced MANITOU RAVEN in JLA, I've had a thing for magic-doers who have to get down -n- nasty to do their feats.

Not like Levitz-era Mysa, more like TMK-era Mysa during "RED TERROR", in which she needed the blood of a dead beast to weave a spell...

So I really like your JINX character!

KLORDNY is a half-breed human/Titanian and is therefore exempt from wearing the Saturn symbol.

Her telepathic prowess is limited but effective.

She can stimulate the pleasure center in the brain to the point of completely incapacitating her victims (if you can CALL them that after being pleasured into incapacitation!).

Gepetto was one of those giant extra-dimensional kids who used to put on marionette shows on the Puppet Planetoid.

Impressed with what he witnessed of the Legion as he grew into his late teens, he crossed the dimensional barrier (shrinking to a more standard humanoid size in the process).

Using his ability to mentally control the various puppets/marionettes he builds, he applied for LEGION membership...

So - is that what "frunt" is? (I'm still looking. For the definition, that is.)

It sounds like a good enough slang term for her powers to ME... "Klordny-- attack Mordru! MAXIMUM fruntage!"

How about Validus? Possessed by the 21st century heroine Looker, who has managed to project her thoughts across the centuries (as the Ultra-humanite did in All-star Squadron), Validus becomes a stalwart of the Legion.

CLOWN - inspired by Senor W. but not him of course, he's one of a kind

Clown would be an acrobat, a master of disguise, a trickster and a disarmer. His (or her) character would be bright and sunny but would hide a tragic, secret past.
And why not make Clown the Asian legionnaire? I'm tired of Asians being martial arts experts or dragon-somethings. Preferably he would assume the name "clown" in his native language, just for variety's sake.

I know there's Harley Quinn, or there was Harlequin the Joker's Daughter in the 21st c., but not sure what her powers are.

EARLY-early in the reboot, one of the first issues of the rebooted LSH, I believe, Leviathan goes to recruit a light-being called Lume(?)-- I'd love for him to get over his fear of darkness and join the Legion. I loved his non-human looks, and his alien-ness culturally.

Bounce:
Chuck Taine of Earth mistakenly drinks a serum that he believes is a soft drink. The serum gives Chuck the ability to create a field around his body that pushs against any object that touches it. With this field, Chuck is able to "bounce," ricochetting off walls and objects, turning his body into a projectile. Using his own keen mind, he is able to figure out the necessary angles to control his direction when bouncing, thereby becoming a formidable opponent.

Didn't either Lume or some of Lume's people make an appearance later on helping the Legion against some big-time threat?

Maybe Mordru... or the Dark Circle. Somewhere in between those two storylines, anyway.

I agree-- I'd like to see more of Lume. Maybe the concept of Legion World with a 'sliver of home' would be enough for him to venture out.

I'm afraid in Japanese, "Clown" is "Kuraan"
