I don't much care who deleted who's picture of who's sleeping person. I don't care who's trying to take over who's thread. I don't care who fucking pissed who off. This fucking sucks.
I've just gotten used to being able to come on this board and hang out with my online compadre's and talk slightly-Legion-related topics. Obviously, that hasn't really been possible today.
I imagine some moderator over here probably deleted or edited something and whoever it was that got edited took umbrage and decided "we'll show them."
Now those who post regularly on this board COULD decide to go rampage the other boards on this site, but what would be the fucking point? It would be ultimately counter-productive, as long as people have spare time on their hands. The offending parties COULD go apologize, but I don't know if that would work because it's obviously the fun thing of the day now to "Let's go over and FUCK UP the LEGION BOARD... heh heh heh"
Today has put a seriously bitter taste in my mouth. I don't know if I really want to post on this board anymore.

That's the point though.....
You can have very serious discussions and enjoy yourselves..and then someone else can come in and put up a picture of a naked Imra and that's just that...
It doesn't make any sense, but if you wanna discuss how Monel is a better christ figure than Jesus you can also say that and not worry about it getting deleted...
Look at it as a life lesson in having a thick skin because all message boards are flawed, and when you least expect it everything is back to normal...
You can hang at the DC boards and talk about On topic legion stuff all day long or you can come her to your special place and talk about teh Legion and whatever else you want..all in the same area... there are no rules except the unwritten ones...
Think of it as respectful disrespect...
Either that or I don't know what I'm talkin about..

Well, I guess there's lightning flying in nerd heaven. Somebody felt the need to punish us all ... and I'm not even sure why.

I hear that and that's all good, but (and this is to both sides of this, um, geek war) it's still really very uncool to punish everyone who has absolutely nothing to do with this.
It seems like there should have been some other recourse to take than (to one side) rampaging the forum and (to the other side) locking every single thread.
This is what politics must be like in Kazazhstan.

If I come off like a bully, then I do. There's not much I can do about that. Like I said, we just did a quick romp across the board and that was it. We were done and had moved on. No bullying, really. Just some barbaric fun. I think it just comes down to the fact that mods are only honorary positions. It's not like Bobo on the DCMBs. We're just here to headline topics and post pretty pics. When someone becomes really authoritative about it, we rebel and become very anti-authority.

I wouldn't say you come off as a bully (mainly because in the echelon of bullies, message board bully HAS to be the waterboy) and I can totally understand the need to act out against what you percieve as an injustice.
I even applaud that.
Seems like this is the old argument of the tree that a neighbor planted whose roots grew over into the neighbor's yard. Whose tree is it? Some people feel a strong sense of ownership of this entire message boards community. They are upset that someone they see as a newbie interloper is messing with what they see as an unbreakable rule.
And then there's the people who came over here to post at Legion HQ. They feel like this board is their new home. They feel ownership too. They feel like the other people are the actual interlopers.
The question is, whose house is this going to be? And if it is owned jointly, can we figure out a way to share the fucking place?

Yeah, I mentioned in another thread that all you have to do is take a quick stroll around Rob's messageboards to see that the moderator position is pretty much just for show here in the wacky land of GOB. But like I said earlier, most of us are newbies here and not accustomed to messageboards where there really aren't any rules. Can't you take that into consideration and cut these new mods some slack? It's reached a point where BOTH sides of this conflict need to meet somewhere in the middle in order for all parties to save a little face.
And quite a few of us are completely in the dark as to who has really shut down all these threads--- some people think that Rob is the one who has shut down the show here. Would the guilty party/or parties like to step forward and confess their "sins"? So far Lash has been the only Legion HQ moderator with the balls to step forward and state his position (not that I agree with him 100%, mind you).

I warned ya. Locking all of the threads wasn't gonna make it easier. Now, Franta is back on a roll.
Like I said, if no one deletes stuff, then there wouldn't be spamming like this. Spamming will still take place, (like I said in the other thread, we do it all the time to our own forums. even Bobo does it) it just wouldn't happen as much.

This is really feeling like a trust betrayed.
Maybe this is simply a failed experimant.
This may very well be my last post here, but I hope to see most of you again ... out there somewhere.
