I have to ask you people, about something I have been thinking about for some time.
How would you like to make a seperate storyline, a more serious storyline?
I know it would mean more work, simply because it won´t be as crazy as the JLR.
and that you would have to come up with more serious characters and that it would in truth, be a total rip-off of the MBL
anyhoo, it´s just a thought I had because I have been thinking of a new character, and I reached the conclusion that he would not fit into the normal JLR storyline, simply because he is more serious.

so what do you think, Yay or Nay?

Oh, ok. Well that mystery's solved.

Wasn't blowing you off, Grimm. I'm just really lazy about turning on that away message [who, me?] .

No biggie. We have AIM chats every now and then. Sometimes, we actually even discuss the stories. . . [no no no]

Just a little fyi, both the Penultimate MBL and Hero Revolution universes are open for newbies to come in. Anyone with the time and/or interest, feel free to look into those.

The Penultimate MBL is kinda like Marvel's "Ultimate" versions of their characters. Very little continuity to work with and easy for people to just jump right in. It's similar to what you guys do.

The Hero Revolution universe is a little more serious and complex. A bit more planned (not entirely planned, but somewhat) and more focused on the writing and storytelling. The Time Trust has set up Yahoo groups with the back stories on both the MBL and the HR universes, as well as Tomb (another former superhero writing group born from the DC boards), for anyone interested in checking that stuff out.

LOL...check out my post under Captain's birthday in the woman section...I'd type more, but seeing as how I have ice on my hand, its kind of hard.

And Chant...interesting idea...we may have to look into that. Still, Cowgirl Jack will be like the Star Spangled Kid in the JSA...hahahaha...

Great angle on the first pic [nyah hah]

Though seriously, I hope you've seen someone about your hand.

Thanks for that Grimm. :)

I've been tempted to have a go with the MBL and THR. But I must confess to being put off by the lack of knowledge of your backstories and of your posting/planning rules. I don't want to just jump in part way through a story and muck up the system.

I'll keep an eye out for the next MBL adventure and join in that one.

Cheers!

no, I don´t know, it was just something I wanted to ask about
well, what do you think?

something like a little more serious, I know that the MBL already have a universe going, and that we have been invited (thank you for that Grimm, btw.) But I just thought we could make our own serious universe
If you´d like I could make the foundation for it with certain places, villains and such, you know, do all the forework!
Let me know what you think?

Right hand. The swelling's down now, so I did not break the bone, just sprained my...thumb muscle. We its not like I work that one out. However, upon waking up this morning I have discovered everything below my belly button is very sore. Looks like I'm not quite 'back in the saddle again'.

Eh, they probably just wanted to berate my writing and run me the hell outta Dodge.

Speaking of (but not really), thanx for the JLR votes during the Awards. I think Brit's got something similar to the KA's planned for our one-year anniversary on the RKMBs.

Okay team.

To celebrate the JLR's first anniversary on 20 November 2003, Wednesday and I would like to propose that we establish an awards thread for our little group. Hopefully this will be the first of many annual awards for JLR-related stories. [biiiig grin]

We also propose that these awards be known as The Starsky-Hutch Awards (in honour of the mysterious person who first started the JLR topic on the DCMB, disappeared, reappeared, then disappeared again, never to be heard of again).

Just working on draft rules and categories which will be forwarded for your comment a bit later.

Ta!

I second the previous proposition that the awards be known as 'The Starsky-Hutch Awards.'

I will neither second nor vote against the proposition that the awards be known as 'The Chant Awards.' Now let's never speak of it again [wink] .

Now, on the other hand, 'The Wednesday Awards'...

Agr--

... Wait.

Brit and I have fought and bickered and hammered a lot of this stuff out, but there's a big question I want to throw out there for everyone:

Will there be a 'Favorite Poster' category?

If yes, it will include anyone who has made at least five combined posts to any of the JLR stories originally posted on the RKMB (JLR- MB, JLR: The Convention Adventure, JLR: War).

I'm gonna set up a poll (cuz I can [biiiig grin] ) later on today. All RKMB members will be eligible to vote in this poll and eventually in the main voting poll.

No, no, I recall you being a chat not too long ago. . .I took note of it because you and TTT were both in there at the same time. Euro, I think was also in there. Seems like I remember Euro asking you about something. . .
