I agree with Deputy Boss Man and Chant, a load of the characters should be offloaded at the end of CSF. In fact, I compiled a list of the ones I thought should be taken off. If anyone has any thoughts on that, I'm up for hearin about it.
Centurian-He's not posted in waaaay too long, and I was never sure about his powers to begin with. We can just have him satying home with Mommy for a while.
Chessmaster 9000.53-Chant's want him off, and I'm cool with that.
Midnight Spectre 2.0-I can't get a handle on this guy's powers or character, plus he hasn't posted since before I got here. And I don't like mystsic types.
Statika-A replacement for Spandex in a story arc that was abandoned. What's the point of having him around?
In case anyone's wondering why I've left certain people off that list, I'll explain.
Ace and RM552 have both made quite recent contributions to CSF, so they're in on that count. Plus, they both came off the DCMB, and I really want to see as many Old-timers around as possible.
Hybrid...well, I like Hybrid, and I think he makes a good foil for Wednesday. He hasn't been used a lot of late in posts, but I feel that that's simply because we're overloaded on characters.
Most of the others I either don't see why we should dump 'em, or they've been around quite recently.
BTW, will Jade Starlight be debuting in our next story?

I'd recommend you read Dogg's summary at the top of this page, and Wednesday's summary a few pages back. And I know I suggested earlier that you should be offloaded, but I meant no offence by that, Spectre. It's just a bias of mine against mystics.

If I make a story post, it'll be the start of a brand new story and several JLR characters will be missing. I'd only keep about five or six members active.
I'm giving the long-inactive writers a chance to post before the end of this story, not to mention the beginning of the JLR awards. It also doesn't hurt at all that I'm still a little confused.

Nuriko and Ace are online as I write this post. PMed Nuriko, so she might be along. And I'm the only one interested in maintaining CSF? If the general movement is towards a new story I'm up for it, but I think we should keep as many characters around as possible.

Well, I'll have to make sure that I don'y let you start the story. I'm all for trimming the numbers, but I've never seen a team with a membership of less than 8. Also, I can't write Fused, D0GG or you very well, so it would be insanely difficult.

Well, I'm currently dried up in terms or inspiration, so the new story will have to wait. But I do have a plotline, so I'll just run it by you, so I can make sure it's cool by everyone.
With JLR members dissapearing off the radar and the lease on the Farmyard of Justice about to run out, Spandex Monkey Man hits on the less-than-original idea of taking the team on a farewell tour of the US. Unfortunately Spandex's cretinous nemesis The Skull of Doom is gunning for Chant, who's gunning right back, and the JLR get caught in the crossfire.
Will the Skull of Doom defeat Chant?
Will Chant succeed in his desire to take over the RKMBs?
Will Wendesday find a nice cold beer and a willing woman?
Find out in: The JLR Rock America!

Teen Titans Animated has 5.
Fantastic Four has 4.
Birds of Prey often works with 3.
Young Justice started out with 3.

Don't mean to jump without knowing everything involved here, but your story seems to revolve heavily around your own characters.
Not saying we CAN'T do that, but usually stories don't revolve around our own members. Gives all characters a chance to shine at an even brightness that way.

I know that it looks like it revolves around my guys, but Spandex is just the originator, he doesn't have to be a big deal right the way through. TSOD is a pretty big fish in the story but no more so than Chant.

Seriously, though, is everybody agreed that it would be permissible to move onto The JLR Rock America? I think it would be preferable to finish CSF first, but if everyone else is agreed, then I'll go with the majority vote.
Also, in response to Wednesday's comments on small teams...
Grant Morrison's JLA: They're the JLA. we ain't nowhere near their level.
Teen Titans Animated: Call me a purist, but I discount all animated teams as not the real deal. Teen Titans animated can get knotted.
Fantastic Four: I never really read these guys much. Plus, I'm pretty sure they're Marvel, and I'm a DC purist.
Birds of Prey: Birds of Prey are the second most naff team in DC, after The Legion. I just don't like them, and as such they're rarely included in my lists
Young Justice: They're boring teenagers, and really a sort of junior JLA. As a senior team, I think we need a bigger roster.
And in regards to you 5 men you would keep on, Wednesday,who would they be?

Oh, I see. Well, I have no problem with being deliberately argumentative. And if anybody else does, they an go to hell!  By the way, does anybody have any ideas for knocking off CSF! I really don't feel able to knock it on the head myself, largely due to an inability to write epic finales myself.

Here's my take on things.
When The Convention Adventure ran into a snag we started this CSF Adventure and people jumped on. Eventually, things sped up again, thanks in part to the fact that we had two stories going at once, giving people a chance to post to EITHER story.
That's why I think that maybe it's not such a bad idea to start a new story, as long as we leave the CSF available to jump back into.
But there's a problem. It's one that's been with us for a while, I think, and one that should be addressed before starting ANYTHING. Characters are MUCH harder to write when their creators don't add to the story. I have a bit of an idea of how to write Nuriko, mostly because of Brit. I have absolutely no idea about TTT's character (we play by different rules than Vanguard, methinks). I don't even know Ace, La Machine, or RM all that much, and they've been on the team longer than I have.
So (and this is where we get to the nitty gritty) I truly believe we should start the new story with no more than four characters on the team. And I think those characters should be Brit, Fused, Dogg, and SMM. They have all done a kick ass job of keeping the JLR alive these last couple months.
Now people would be welcome to join in WHEN THEY THINK THEY HAVE THE TIME AND IDEAS TO CONSISTENTLY ADD TO THE STORY. This would mean, though, that no one besides those writers listed above should add their own characters into the mix unless they plan to come back and post more often than they have been. That means no excuses about your computer being down, or having to spend too much time at school or work, or not having any ideas storywise. None of that bullshit flies. Something takes you out of the writing ring, we take your character out of the story. That's it.

Well, That wins The Spandex award for most inspiring speech of the month. And I'm well and truly flattered that you think I've done so much.
Just one thing. Where does War fit into this? And also, What if somebody gives preliminary warning that they'll not be there? For example, I occasionally go on holiday or on residential weekends with my family or various groups, and as such I would dissapear every so often. Course, I would warn people first, but I wouldn't be here during those times.

I object to the title "JLR-RA" seeing as the JLR is an international ordeal it should rather be a JLR-RW, I know that sounds stupid, but I should like that included seeing as some of the more prominent members are not americans! Prominent member beeing Britannica! And though Chant is not a member of the JLR per-se, I am still not American. that's just my way of thinking...
