how about instead of drug lords it's alternate dimension versions of the JLR who have come to our Earth to steal all our cocaine as fuel for their weapons of mass destruction program? ah, I'm just talking out my ass. I don't know if cocaine is an ideal subject matter for a JLR story. It just doesn't sound cheesy and fun. how about we substitute baked beans for cocaine. yeah...

yes, the IRL is, indeed, a doppelganger team.
however, we run into problems if we use them. many of the people now on the JLR weren't when the IRL were created, so they don't have opposites. also, several people who DO have opposites on the IRL haven't been seen or heard from writing-wise in a long time.

create opposites from another dimension. for instance, I have a bastard of a stalker on these boards called, "Smart Cat". So I'll make him my alternate.

I thought we were going to do this as JLR counterparts from another reality who've invaded to steal a big can of baked beans? I just figured I'd create new charcters to dispose of if we feel like it. doesn't matter to me, I can work with anything.

Well, I think the list Wednesday had was just for Ragtag Heroes. And if I misunderstood what you're saying here it's no big deal, I do that.
As for SpandexMonkeyMan's evil double, he is Dark Angel, from an alternate timeline in which Judas kept Islington's essence bound to him, and became tainted with evil. He's essentially just an angel-level powerful being.
