Hi, SpandexMonkeyMan!!!

The thread that birthed the JLR existed on another board, namely the DC Message Board. It can, however, be read right here by clicking the link in my signature that reads "The Beginning".

It would probably help if I gave you some background too. Basically, Morrison had just added a large number of members to his JLA, increasing their ranks to 13 members. He'd added such members as Big Barda and Steel, who many thought didn't deserve membership in a team that had the likes of Superman and Batman.

Please thank your local Registered Member #552 for taking the time to record the thread before Rob deleted it from the DCMBs for not being DC related, and later reprinting it here as a new individual thread. He is, as they say, The Man.

Just a bit of a correction of Wednesday's explanation on our origins...

It was when the JLA included the likes of Faith, Manitou Raven and Major Disaster, that Starsky_Hutch76 made his famous outburst about wanting to be in the Justice League too...

Oh, and one other thing. Following a sterling return to leadership, and also following his recruitment drive, I propose we make Britannica a member of the JLR Hall of Fame 'For Keeping the JLR Alive'

I propose we induct Britannica into the Hall of Fame ONLY if he agrees to a public flogging.

Perhaps we could wip him through the streets of Wagga Wagga?

I think Wagga Wagga has a city ordinance set up that specifically states there will be no whipping in its streets.

But I'm not absolutely sure of that.

I've posted to WoMC. It's a short one intended to get Spandex thoroughly switched and ready for re-vamp.

And thank you for the kind nomination for the Hall of (Justice) Fame, Spandex. But I really haven't done anything yet to deserve nominatin. Besides I think others deserve nomination over me.

In relation to the Starsky-Hutch Awards, I think we should do things differently from last year. We really don't have time to nominate stories, posts, etc and then do a poll. I thnk it would be better if people just post their nominations for the following categories, to a new Starsky_Hutch Awards thread, beginning early next week.

But in the mean-time, I would like a bit of feedback on the following categories, please...

1. Favorite Story
As JLR vs the CSF! is really the only story we have completed since last year, I propose is that all JLR adventures are eligible for the Favourite Story category - finished or not. This category should also include Dogg's Adventures and The Return of Chant.

2. Favorite post
Like last year, favorite individual post.

3. Favorite Battle
Favorite run of posts (individual or team effort) which describes a battle within an adventure.

4. [Favorite Storyline
Favorite run or posts (individual or team effort) which describes a scenario within an adventure

5. Favorite Main Character

I don't think that the Return of Chant should be part of the awards, as it is simply a failed experiment, nothing more.

I don't hink it should be part of continuity as I decided to back to basics with Chant!

I think Favorite Battle and Favorite Storyline should be combined like they were last year. Otherwise, we won't have that much to choose from.

I agree with Wednesday, they should be combined.

By the by, has anyone seen Fused or D0GG around the boards of late?

I pop in and out. lurking mostly, cuz I don't always have time to sit and write. always fucking busy... It's what is harming the completion of my story and me posting more to the JLR adventure.

i spent the entire weekend preparing for two finals. one was a final essay in my english class, for which our teacher had given us the nine topics we could choose from. the other was a theater test. it was 100 questions, and closed book, but everything was multiple choice.

when i was done with the essay, my professor informed me that he wouldn't actually be GRADING it per se. it would serve as passtime reading for him.

my theater test was too easy. even the dumbest were done with plenty o' time to spare.

i should have spent the time studying science.
