I have just been informed, that not many Americans know about Boxing Day. So my Useless Information Ability is tingling again... Boxing DayMaybe I should start a Holiday Heroes Talk Thread?

We have boxing day here in Canada, too. It's usually just used by shopping malls as an excuse to hold a sale.
BTW, I'm currently reading The Holiday Heroes. Very, very funny stuff, Brit. Great story.

Brit, your "Holiday Heroes" story is muy excellente! Your sense of humour and sorta-quirky writing style makes your writing a lot of fun to read.

Yeah, that's what Australia uses Boxing Day for too. Though this year, there was a big uproar, as Church groups successfully lobbyed the NSW State government to ban Boxing Day sales, because Boxing Day is a Sunday this year. I'm going to watch The Incredibles instead with my lovely wife, and some work friends, instead.  And thank you TTT. I'm glad you like the story. BTW, when are you going to vote in the SHA? Deadline's looming fellas...

I don't feel qualified to vote in the Starsky_Hutch Awards this year, because I'm still kind of a newbie. I'll need to catch up on JLR history and all that to really get myself settled in, I think. I'll vote next year.

Cheers again TTT. I hope to get the rest of the story out next week, just in time for the next public holiday... well the one after Boxing Day anyway.
Fortuantely in NSW, Monday and Tuesday have been declared public holidays (yay!) and I managed to wrangle an RDO for Wednesday. So I hope to get a bit of time to sit and type it out.
Anyhoo, just about to post to the SHA.

We have Boxing Day in the UK, too. But here, it's mainly Christmas Day 2: Return of the big dinners.

We tend to end up with leftovers for the whole week...  Well, I've just posted to the SHA (for reasons explained in that post). On a more fun note, I intend to post to Weapons shortly (within the next three days or so) in order to fully establish new look Spandex Monkey Man. I know I've probably spent more time than is fair focusing on just my guy, but hey, we've established that he needed to change and I'm changing him, I hope nobody minds

Ummm.... no plan. It was just a post to intorduce Brit into the story...  Besides giving Brit and the girl amnesia, not much more going on there at the moment....
