I would just like to say that this is the best show on TV. Great cast and great scripts. Did you hear that Garner signed on until 2008? I wonder what they have planned.

Yeah I heard that about Jen. This is the absolute best show on tv hands down. I've got a friend that said she's heard it's a good show, and I'm working on getting her addicted too.

btw, I FINALLY bought the first season DVD set last weekend. WOO! [biiiig grin] I've watched a few episodes here and there. I can't believe how clear it shows on DVD. I'm so used to my crappy (crappy because I have no clue where the spliter is to change it) cable shows, not to mention how much we're missing as far as sound goes by watching it on tv. It's truely worth it to spend the money on the DVD set. I LOVE the gag reel and all I have to say about it is, IT'S TOO SHORT! You know there are more outtakes than what they put on there and I would love to see them all. :) OH and that scene where Francie Whacks Wil upside the head when they're playing Xbox, or whatever they were playing, I knew that was an outtake they left in. You could tell by the way she hit him, she really hit him, it showed. [biiiig grin]

Oh getting back to Sunday's episode, I so love Jack for not losing his cover when that slime talked about nailing Syd and all that fun stuff. Then when Jack shot him the first time, and just as the slime ball was egging him on more, and reached for his gun, Jack finishes the job. WOO! That was great. :)

Lena Olin has turned down a deal with ABC to reprise her role as Irina Derevko on ABC's spy drama Alias.
ABC and Olin's representatives declined to comment.

November 12, 2003

It has been reported that Bradley Cooper, who plays Will, shall only appear in 5 episodes this season. His first appearance will be in December. Cooper's character was taken out to make more room for Vaughn's new wife.

Didn't you see the post on aliasfans with the 2 links to the extended reels? I downloaded them last night and have yet to watch them. Course I might just hold off until I get to a faster/better puter, like the next time I go to my brother's house.....

The guy who plays Wiess is Greg Grumberg. He has some funny things to say on the commentary tracks.

I haven't done those yet, but I did was both the Telling and the making of it this afternoon. Cool stuff the way they did that episode. I love how the entire show is filmed in LA, but with their limited budget (which is considerably less than a movie) they do such a fantastic job of special effects that you actually believe what you're seeing is true.

But what cracked me up big time was the piece of wood they were passing around and all signing up with the wrap time. The person that either got it or closest to it won the pot.

Season 3: Episode 1: "The Two"

Upon mysteriously awakening in Hong Kong after fighting with doppelganger Francie in Los Angeles, Sydney learned that two years had passed and everyone presumed she was dead … and she has no recollection of those years. Returning to the world that she once knew will turn out to be both enlightening and painful, as Sydney searches to discover where she has been and what had transpired during the missing time. She will soon learn that her memories contain pivotal information that numerous members of the intelligence world are interested in — and may kill for.

In the season premiere episode, with no memory of her life during the past two years, Sydney struggles to come to grips with a reality that is both foreign and frightening. To begin her journey back, she confronts Vaughn about his marriage and learns the shocking fates of Jack and Sloane. Meanwhile, Sydney is granted temporary CIA clearance on a case that may help her regain her memory.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now, I don't know about the rest of you, but seeing the new teaster on ABC has got me anxious for the 28th!
Seeing Syd walk down the street carrying that gun, and then shooting it like she doesn't give a shit what's going on . . . man, that's just good stuff!
Can't wait! Two more weeks! <img border="0" alt="[woooOOOOoooo!]" title="" src="graemlins/smilewoo.gif" />
I thought last night episode wasn't that good. I hated the ending, and as much as I love Kendall they needed more of everyone else. The whole Lazarey thing is uninteresting to me.
But, this could be because I have been watching Alias since Christmas abd I could be bored with it.
LOVED! it last night! Great to see Kendal, was wondering what happened to him. Even though there were no tears running down the man's face, Jack cried at the funeral. OOOOOOOOOHHHHH JACK'S DA MAN! He hot wired Syd to withstand brainwashing. WOO! I taped this last night as I always do, but my cousin stopped by and I missed a good portion of the first few minutes, before I went to watch in the basemnet. But I watched this today and was glad I did.
Oh that ending..... Before they showed the shooter's face, I knew it was a woman, but then when they showed who it was, my first thought was she's working for Sark. Then I thought JJ's pulling a fast one on us and it's Kendal. But I'm not too sure, because kendal would never put a hit on anyone, so now I'm thinking it's DSR, or whoever it is Lauren works for.
And Dixon knew! And that guy from The Covenant (sp?) that told Sidney to kill the guy in the wheelchair sounded like McKenas Cole, Quentin Taratino's character. All around a great episode. Just straightforward answers to the questions with no teasing and also presenting so many more questions.
What I want to know is:
1. Is The Tart (Lauren aka Mrs. Vaughn) actually working for the NSA? Maybe some strings were pulled and she was ordered to kill Lazaray (maybe by Lindsey's replacemnt)?
2. Is The Tart a double agent working for the Covenant and the NSA?
3. When The Tart met Sark in the car earlier this season, and he showed her the pictures of Sydney killing Lazaray, she looked shocked and upset. Was that because she was upset that Vaughn knew this and didn't tell her?
4. Maybe The Tart was a plant by the Covenant and she was set up to meet Vaughn and keep up with him in case Sydney showed up (thus explaining how they got together so quickly)?
Next Episode: Sunday, January 18: "Crossings"
Jack contacts a mysterious woman (Isabella Rossellini) with ties to Irina to help him free Sydney and Vaughn, who have been captured and face a North Korean firing squad. This is too cool. Just as I was reading the preview for this week's ep here, the radio station I've got on started playing that song that song by No Doubt. Speaking of that song, first of all, I thought it was perfect for when they used it, and second, I woke up to it Monday morning on this same station, and imediatly thought of the scene while lying in bed.
Another disappointing episode. I almost turned it off. Isabeela Rosalinis character was just awful. If you can't have Lena Olin then just drop the character. Knowing Lauren is the mole adds know suspense at all. And no more of those innane previews! I'm gonna watch the show anyway. I have lost so much interest in this show.
Just watched, ok got done about 45 minutes ago, tonight's episode and I have to say it was extremly well writen and smart. I sat there during the scenes with Cole and just couldn't figure out what was going on. I went from thinking Cole was the head of the Covenant, to thinking Irina was, then to Sloane being it, then to Lauren being it (after he pulled out the watches), man that had me guessing big time. What the heck was that green crap Sloane was injecting? I hate to say this, because I'm a firm believer that Jack's Sydney's biological father, that when Barnett was sitting across from Sloane I was expecting him to tell her he's Syd's dad. Now my reasoning for the Jack thing is, and I've been saying this since everyone started that Sloane's her real dad theory, if Jack had any doubts, he would have had a DNA test done to prove paternity.
But then what killed me was the preview for the next episode, 3 weeks away , Sloane telling Barnett that he's Syd's dad and Barnett not believing him/completly surprised, not expecting that to be the secret he's been hiding. I screamed when they showed that.
On to some cool news. I was at my oldest brother's house, the cop, and was surprised my older brother, Batman, showed up, long story. Anyway, some time around 8 somethng, out of the blue I was in the basement and walked by the kitchen down there when he asked if I had seen the entire season 2 of Alias yet. I told him I watched it as it aired and have seen all of season 3 so far. He then said he and his wife just got done watching it and that cliff hanger was killer. I was so surprised to find out he's a fan. He said they had seen season 1, but he never once said anything to me about it. I guess he might not have known until they got my name for the Christmas grab bag, of which I asked for season 2, among other things. So we talked about it for a bit, but not much because they haven't seen any of season 3 yet and are waiting for it to come out on DVD before they see it. I could never do that, waiting the summer out was bad enough, waiting a year or so is much worse.
It was obvious to me from the first 2 or 3 episodes of the show that Sloan was Sydney's biological father. As season 1 went on, and turned into season 2, and then to season 3, well, everything has been leading up this revelation.
Which makes me ask: Are we being baited? Is is a lie we were lead to believe, to think we came up with it on our own from day one?
I am asking this b/c it makes no sense that they would use this revelation as a teaser, instead of a cliff hanger. The perfect place would have been at the end of last night's episode. But, no, it will be somewhere in the middle of an episode 3 weeks from now.
Still, I have no doubt that it is the truth. The thing is, if the revelation that, to me at least, the show has been building towards for two and a half years, if it's something that is so small at this point that they can reveal it in a teaser, then, what's the real shitkicker that will be revealed in the next episode?
I think the whole father issue is no one knows for sure. Irina could have been sleeping with both at the time and neither Jack or Sloan knows for sure.
Another so-so episode. They ruined the big surprise with the preview three weeks ago.
I did like the scene between Sydney and Vaughn about his dad and the anniversary of his dads death.
I hated the blatant F-150 product placement, and I like Fords.
I don't buy that Sloane's Syd's dad, I think Irina let him believe that, and that Jack is truely her dad. Someone on LJ said they think she did that to protect Syd, as in if Sloane thought she was his, then he wouldn't hurt/harm her. Good theory.
Loved that scene with Jack at the end, I was on the phone early on and missed almost everything that happened before the opeing credits.
Bought the season 1 soundtrack yesterday and it's awesome. I had it on in the car while driving around today and it was too fitting. I found myself laughing because I felt like I was on the show at times. lol
