As for Sloane and Irina having a kid together, I don't know about that, but I've been saying since last season at least, that Sark and Syd are brother and sister. My original theory was that Iriana was pregnant (by Jack) when she left. Either she didn't know, or she did, but since she was planning on leaving, never told Jack.
But now that they introduced Lazere as Sark's dad, that puts a crimp in my theory. To an extent.
What if my theory is correct, then Iriana could have trusted friends to raise him/adopt him, not knowing what would happen. Those friends, or whoever as Lazare and his wife, and we leared that Lazare was physically abusive to Sark. Irina could have always been there to 'pick up the pieces' so to speak, hence Sark's comment about her being like a mother to him.
It's very possible that if she really is his mother, than maybe Sark knows and said that to Syd to get a rise out of her.
Now there are those out there that don't buy the brother/sister theory and as such write fics of them getting together. But until I havve definative proof, I'm still going with that theory.
