RKMBs Forums .::Important::. Writer's Block What exactly is "Hero Headquarters v2.0"?

Forgive my ignorance, please....but what exactly is it? I've been looking at some threads, but I'm still not entirely sure what this is. A fanfic group, perhaps?

This threads is devoted to a round robin story, featuring a group of metahumans in a world where superheroes have never existed before.

It's a sort of Ultimate Universe version of the Message Board League Universe, another round robin story which was born in the DC Message Board, then migrated to Yahoo and then to Promethean City.

Among the oldest thread of this forum, you can find the end of the old Universe and the whole saga of the new one.

Ah, lastly, this is not fanfic, because the characters are of our own creation. Some characters could have the same name of a DC characters, but only because in the beginning we used our nicknames as users of the DCMB.

You're free to join. Just think up a character and start a'posting in the story thread.

Word of warning though, Danny is already the resident "animal man".

I suppose you can join too if you want...we'll just have to keep our "escapades" in the other forums. Around here we're a bit hyper about staying in topic...strange since most of these guys were banned for being off topic at the DCMBs.

You don't have to be normal, just be "in continuity" with the rest of the universe.

We are:
a boy from the future which can turn parts of his body into animal parts
a man which exchange places with an interdimensional being
a superlucky dwarf "possessed" by a dead scientist
a composite being made of a female angel, a demon, a Earth boy, an otherdimensional scientist, an otherdimensional mage
a man which see the world as completely differsnt from how it is for real
a cloned kid with snake instead of hairs
various other freaks

Currently there are three; one is buff and scary in a Xena-like way, one is already taken, and Euro and I are fighting over the other.

That sounds great! So, uhhhhh, how do I join? Just post my idea for the character? Or do I have to take a test to get in like the JLA?

Just start posting in the story thread. You can read the previous stories to get caught up, but it's not required and really not even necessary. Make yourself a freelancer, join the team, heck be a villain if that floats your boat.

I think you should read at last the first story, issue 0, just to have an idea about the kind of world we operate into, and the current one, obviously...

Hi Animalman.

I was referring to Nowhereman, that was part of our writing staff (eh eh) in the few first stories (up to issue 4), and then left.

You may, or may not, know that the MBL began (as parody of the JLA) in the DCMessage Boards. From there, it grew, going from board to bard, up to the point we moved here. Att hat point, we rebooted the MBL Universe, beginning from scratch.

Nowherman continued to post like never had happened, so we said that his character was seeing a different reality. the one of ther old Universe. He catched up for a little, then left the stories, beginning a solo thread to explain his character's peculiarity, but after one or two post, he has left this forum altogether.

So, I believe that you can go on with your character freeley, I'm sure that there wouldn't be any similariety. And, if there are any, that could work for a future story.

Ah, in the story, the group of "heroes" is about to go to a metahuman bar. I don't know if a place like that could fit your character, but could be a good way to have him join the MBL.

Other things:

basically there is only one rule, that is each poster can have only one "hero" character in the team.
You can create more characters, but only one could be a meber of the MBL. You can create supporting staff for it, though, and also villains and even other heroes, but the latter can't join the MBL along your main hero character.

(Obviously you can create a false poster identity and have a new character join under that false owner identity. It happened more than one time before :lol: ).

Hello everyone! I am new to the board and the HHQ RPG, but I am Chewy Walrus's roommate and I would love to get involved in the RPG if at all possible. I am working on a character right now, so any feedback, advice, instructions would be very welcome. Take care, everyone!
