Groovy. Have we settled on a title then? "Time Off" or "Unfinished Business" would be my choices right now. But I'll go with anything that's not "One Sunny Day" or a derivative thereof.

I was gonna make a joke, but then I thought I could actually use that crazy thought in the story, so I'm keeping it to myself...

Grimm: I say you name it any way you want. If there's a problem with the title, it can always be edited later.

Hey, I had an idea for a story the other day... Not for right now, but if you like it maybe we could do it later on. It's like this:
I start a story with a murder. I leave some clues about the identity of the killer or the next victim (or if he's a theme killer, what his theme is), and you develope the story based on those clues. Then... dunno, if you don't get the clues right, someone else dies and there's more clues. If you do get the clues right, you save the next victim's life and get a closer to catching the killer. And so on.

Mxy, I think it's a brilliant idea. We should try this sometime soon. :)

And, since the last Talk Thread got canned, I'll repeat myself:

I've sent everyone a quiz at the e-mail addresses listed in this forum (or newer ones that I know about). I didn't have Gooz's current address, so he'll have to wait for the next one. And, Doctor, I still don't have your e-mail addy.

Danny beat you all on the last one with a score of 90 out of 100!

As the current one stands, Grimm holds the bar at 100 out of 100!

So far, Danny comes in second with 60 out of 100.

And Chewy is trailing bottom with a 40 out of 100. [no no no]

Euro, Mxy, T5, and TTT are up. :)

Great idea, Mxy.

I'm going with Greetings from sunny La Perdita, gives you guys a little homage without being directly derivative.

Turkish: Grimm. Australian for Supa-geek!! lol

I'm still surprised I did so well on the first one, considering I guessed at half the answers.

I got 70% on the quiz, too. I can't believe I screwed up on the Batman question, though! Up until the mid-90s I was a Bat-fanatic -- bought every Bat-book available at the time. (I dropped all of them by 1996/97 due to all the frickin' multi-title crossovers all the time.)

I still don't think that the answer to the multiple personalities characters was correct. Wasn't LLance another with two personlaities? That Tom B. First guy how was connected to LLance?

Thankee. The name on the flowerpot was a nice touch.

T5, so is this were Ameristar finally arrives? And why do I hear Cradle of Filth when reading Naecken: Prince of Hell? Nice pic, btw.

Eduardo Frederico/Ktl was never apart of the team, so he doesn't count. Larry and Tom B. First were the same guy (not different personalities). When he broke in two he sorta went brain dead until he was put back together.

Nowhereman, he was a part of this team? I HAD no idea [wink] [nyah hah]

I just uploaded a pic of Grimm done in a "Batman: The Animated Series" style. It's in the "Hero Revolution: The Animated Series, Season 1" folder in the Photos section at the HERO REVOLUTION group at Yahoo!...

If there are any changes that you want me to make, Grimm, I'd be more than happy to adjust things a bit...

Cool beans, Chewy! Can't wait to see your character appear in the story.

One thing I was thinking was that you might want to put your last Flashback post at the end of the last story, where all the other Flashback posts are, so the Flashback mini-story isn't broken up. Then the present-day scenes with Grissom Montag an appear in the current story as a "sequel" to the Flashback scenes in the previous story. Just a suggestion based on my personal aesthetics, of course. :)

TTT, cool. I'll check it and get back to you.

btw, I can't wait to see Chance and Shirley come face to face.

More newbies, eh? with Turkish, Grimm, Bell, Chance, Sandcrawler, and Ameristar, it was definitely a good time for this story.

Very nice, TTT! [biiiig grin]

The t-shirt was a nice touch.

The only change I would make is the color of the gauntlets: they should be a metallic grey. Otherwise, you're spot on.

Okay. I'm glad somebody understood what Euro was saying, because I was completely lost. :) Euro, you're asking about a question from the PREVIOUS quiz, right? The one where I think (as I don't have access to it) it asks "How many characters have multiple personalities in the New Universe?", or something like that.

-I've never seen LL display any form of secondary personality here in the New Universe.

-Ktl is not part of the team, nor, a character written directly by one writer, but, one of many shared as an enemy. Thus, I would think he didn't count.

-I've never once read anything here with Nowhereman, and the only reason I even knew he had been around was because you all feel the need to list the dead/quit characters in the beginning of every post.

-Thus, the answer to my question was the number (4) : Danny/Hal, Mick/Mxy, Naecken, and Pete/Chance.

The fact that you want to make it more proves that you really don't even get the point of the question in the first place.

And, really gentlemen, if there is such a dispute over what's right/wrong with the questions/answers (as, by Gob, I knew there would be [yuh huh] ) then I suggest you write your own quiz. I'd love to take it.

MXY: Umm....I'll try. But, I think I can only send it once. Either way, I'll let you know before I send any more. :)

GRIMM: Thanks. And, you know, if you don't actually USE your real last name, then your "Australian for..." comments are going to really confuse Danny. [wink]

T5: Thank you! :) I just thought a glancing homage to the character was in order.

Pro: quite sensitive, eh? Altough it's not important, I MILDLY disagree with your answer, because Nowhereman, I think, although is not around from a lot of stories, IS a member of the team. If you have not read the first stories, don't make them not existing (by the way, the first two have resumes posted somewhere in this board).

Mxy: STRAFICO! (that means supercool, more or less).

Did you take it that way? Interesting....

So, people that are no longer writing with us are still members of the team? Why aren't their characters being used then?

If you have not read the first stories, don't make them not existing (by the way, the first two have resumes posted somewhere in this board).

A.) Which "first two" and who writes them?

B.) I neither claimed nor denied their existence. I was merely explaining that, when I created the quiz, I was pulling only from the knowledge I have attained from the stories I have been involved in. Sorry, but I just don't have time enough in my day to sift through multiple pages of stories that I was never involved in creating in the first place. Maybe when I have a week or so off during Christmas break.

Again, I'll say that other people should create a quiz if mine are not adequate.

Hi Pro.

I was not at all implying your quiz was not adequate. When I went to the site, from the link of your e-mail, I was quite surprised and really enjoied the whole thing.

Only, I was surprised by the answer to the question I referred to. I was sure the split personality members were more than four.

Nowhereman is still a member, just like Kristogar is. Nobody writes them because their poster had them to walk away from the team, to pursue their own agenda. Just like KV is on the trail of the Golden Baron, Nowhereman is looking to find an answer to the fact that the current reality is different from the one he remember and still sees.

Both posters have begun their own solo threads: sadly, Nowhereman one seems to have been totally abandoned, while KV still posts, altough very randomly.

About the resumes, they are in athread called History of the HR Universe. I have written the synopses of both issue 0 and issue 1. The first one has been edited by Chewy, and is a joy to read. The second is still in my Englitalian, so it is much more messed up. I plan to continue to post resumes of every story, but right now I have no time to do that.
Obviously, every one who would take my place would be very welcomed.

T5, go here:

www.theorderofthedragon.com

If you can sit through Dani Filth's screeching voice, you might find some inspiration for Naecken's tale.

Blackwulf, I thought COF were from Sweden? They're American?

Excellent post, doctor. Jelly babys on their way to your door.

I have no idea what the hell you're talking about.

And as far as I'm aware... Nowhereman never displayed any sort of split personality or anything (at least not in this universe).

By the way... I won that first quiz (Woo! Go team Danny!), but the question I got wrong was "how many characters has Danny written that are named Dan or Danny?". Make of that what you will.
