Which is a point I tried to make during the last story. Glad someone actually picked up on it.

Btw, is Danny still injured?

I've also been working on a pic of Dirk Bell (I don't know why I'm starting out with the later members -- probably because I'm trying to get a feel for these guys more than the others right now), but I need to know whether he's still wearing a mask, as one description had him with. If so, what kind of mask? Lone Ranger type, or a full-face one? And is the grey overshirt he wears over the kevlar vest just a plain button-down shirt, or what? Just wondering about the intricate details, here.

I did originally have the mask as part of an homage to the golden age heroe design. But, with the latest hurry into action bits, Dirk hasn't had time to put it on; so, I think I'll just drop that whole bit. It wasn't important anyway. Just a little something extra.

As for the shirt, Dirk isn't much of a button down type of guy. It'll be more of a pull-over shirt, like a t-shirt or something along that lines. He doesn't really try and look all business like. The shirt is really meant to stand out from the rest of his costume as to draw gunfire there, and to the kevlar, instead of his head or such.

Since some of the heroes are wanted by the USA law (at last, Euro, Mick, LLance, and Tobias are), it would make sense, for them, to wear a mask.

Well, with the destruction of the MCCA, maybe the recordings about them have been destroyed, but Euro is still a wanted man, for the many things happened in his solo story.

So, he will definitely wear a mask, to protect himself, his comrades and the company.

But, what kind of mask, I have yet to decide. Any suggestion?

Actually, I think a whole new look might be good for Eurostar at this point. Maybe have him shave his head, grow a van dyke or a goatee, and wear some dark shades, so as to cover his eyes. And, of course, Grissom could make him some phony identification under another alias (an Italian one, obviously - not Sardella, though, as that one is connected with Eurostar) to further add to that suspicion.

Any other ideas?

Hey guys, been real busy lately. I'll try to get into the story soon.

Also, I just got this e-mail from T5 in the mail today:

quote:
Hi there friend.

Due to a breakin into my apartment, it will probably be a while before I can post any time soon. They nicked my PC, stereo, DVD, TV, and some window vandalism.

Please post this on the board so that the gang understands. Hopefully I will get a new PC within a month.

Your writing colleague T5.

So, as you can see, I'll be getting a plane ticket soon, so I can turn SOMEbody's ass inside-out!

This kind of shit just fucking sucks!

Just letting you know.

That really sucks. Hope he can at least get replacements. Having been a victim of theft just last year, I know how he's feeling right now.

Guys, for this story please make Sam act somewhat "fake" happy and even some times down right mean.

Thanks.

T5, if you get to the boards to read this, I hope everything works out ok.

Yeah. I made a reference in the post with Dirk to Danny's midsection being bandaged. I assume not much time has passed since the last story, so we're just following directly on.

And that really sucks about T5 getting robbed.

Every day I'm given new reasons to hate the human race.

Hope no one minds me adding a little weather to the story. Just thought we needed something more than just sunshine and lollypops around here. :)

Chewy, Freebird is a Skynrd song, not Zepplin. At least that was the reference I got from it, unless you were referring to something else. I'm from the south, so Skynrd is taught in schools down here. [biiiig grin] Not too big into Zepplin, so I could just have missed what you were saying.

Guys, if you don't go too fast with the story, Euro and Turner will make it for La Perdita around late afternoon in the current story.

Just in time for the night out.

Dangit! I was gonna put that down as well! I'm not sure why, but I'm always getting those two bands mixed up. Like Lawrence Fishburne and Samuel L. Jackson. Don't know why, it just happens...

Um... I'm sitting at my computer. Earlier, however, I went out and bought (then later watched) Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. Funny, funny stuff.

Chewy: That cab driver must be really new to Perdita if he doesn't know who the national heroes and protectors of La Perdita are! [wink]

(They've been protecting La Perdita publically for about three years now, since La Perdita has no laws forbidding metahumans...)

By the way, don't you find funny that everybody wanted a character driven story, to develop interplay between the heroes, and right now everybody went separate ways?

Yes, I find that strange. Very strange indeed. It seems all but a few have abandoned this place and this story. Come on back, guys!

Eurostar: Nice twist with the explanation of your powers! I like it.

One thing I've been wondering about for a while now (and something I keep on forgetting to add in the story), is whether or not it is possible that the old, wooden round-table the "Revolutionaries" used early on at their meeting table might have been saved and shipped from Mandelovia where the Circus was when the guys were last with it. I figured it would provide a sense of continuity between the early stories and the current ones. Maybe it would make sense for Eurostar to be the one to find it when he's shown the meeting room.

No, we're just all conversing with each other through IM's to make sure we keep each other's characters written correctly. It is taking a little longer, but I think it'll pay off in the end with great posts.

I haven't. It has just been hard to post with 12 hour training/work days and night duty after that.

Plus a lot of us have been talking and wait until you see what happens 'tonight'!

Sorry about missing last night's chat (Grimm mentioned something about it). I was dead tired and there was no way I'd be able to concentrate on anything... I went to bed early.

Where are Mxy and Danny?

The newbies needed a little time alone to do some character bits, but the team will come back together later in the story. Three words: Underground Meta Bar. It's gonna be sweet. [wink]

For those of you who don't know, Tuesday night = Chat Night! So, be there!

On another note, I just posted the EPS Sketchbook over at the HR Yahoo Group, which includes some of my concept sketches of the first eight EPS members. Hope you enjoy...
