Since neither Sonja or Pete are dead, I don't see the true purpose of a memorial floor.

Yes, Pete is dead, but he is still around, even if only Kris can see him. But they know, and a memorial, I think, would be strange.

The lizard boy I forgot about. He really deserves a memorial. But why a whole floor? Wouldn't be a spot in the "trophy" room would be enough? Or, else, we could reserve Sonja's room for it, without wasting the whole floor. After all, how many dead MBLers are you expecting? [wink]

Mxy, nice post indeed.

I understand why you have given a vegetarian pizza to Euro, and it was a very nice little touch, but, quite contraddictory, the eagle DNA in him claims for meat.

Poor Pete. He don't get no respect. No respect at all.

Doesn't matter that he's still around as a ghost. He's dead. He's getting a funeral and a memorial.

Period.

Not only has Grissom Montag arrived, but he's been around for an hour and fifteen minutes without ANY of your characters knowing!

Thanks! (and thanks Gooz, too!)
Sorry about that! I thought that because Euro has "in touch with nature" lately he should have a vegetarian pizza... I'll edit so we don't have to destroy this universe and start over...

I think the misuse of a vegetarian pizza was actually responsible for the Crisis on Infinite Earths, if I recall correctly.

Oh, and I think we could fit in Pete's "Wake" with the second thing, to boot.

I love it when a plan comes together.

Yes, the infamous Crisis on Earth-Veggie! by Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowsky, I believe. It all started there. . . [nyah hah]

Sorry I haven't been posting a lot lately. I've been having trouble with my phone line for about a week. For some reason, it won't let us call anybody after 7, but people can call us. [eh?]
We've had the company out everyday this week, and it still shuts off at 7 after they "fixed" it. [you sunnuva...]
So, I've pretty much just been keepin' an eye for what's been going on when I get some free time at work.

[whaaaa!] Big Brother is watching. I'd better go before they let loose the hounds and put me on trial for a thought crime.

If Pete's gonna have a funeral maybe Naecken should have one too, since the team thinks he sacrified himself to save them.

Naecken's not dead, though, just missing. And Eurostar believes he is still out there somewhere. After all, he was not human, but a composite being of devils and angels. And when Eurostar and Sonja were missing they were only believed to be dead... thus no funeral.

They KNOW Pete is dead, on the other hand. In his case a Wake and a memorial service is appropriate, just as the Kristofer Schanz of this timeline must have had a funeral when he died though it wasn't referenced in the story and didn't need to be.

I finally got some time to write a whole post at work. TTT, I had already established a slight bit of rain was a comin' from two of my earlier posts, so don't think it was that I was ignoring your's concerning Turkish on the roof. Just bringing something I had already set up back.

Hope my post stirs the pot a little more. [mwah hwah haa]

For anyone that is interested, here is my edited-out Danny/Turner fight scene.

quote:
Danny brushed off his initial confusion to Ed’s offer and retracted the bear claws.

Turning to Ed Danny shouted, “I hope you know what you’re doing.”

Turner also turned toward Ed, but only gave a look and a subtle head nod. Ed did the same.

A brief pause occurred as both men sized each other up. Danny threw the first punch, connecting with Turner’s jaw. He quickly followed with a second one. Turner fell back a step then moved closer to Danny, who connected with another shot.

Rage filled Danny’s eyes, he was tired of trusting people he didn’t know or like.

He connected again.

And again. Blood began dripping from Turner’s lip.

“Bastard.” Danny said as another punch landed on its target.

Ed and Mxy stood back, away from the two men. A puzzled look overcame Mxy’s face.

Ed,” Myx began.

“Yeah?”

Why isn’t Turner fighting back.

“Because he knows that he deserves this.”

Oh, ok than.

Gooz, very nice post, I was not expecting that Turner would have not fight back. It would have been a very nice progress for the story. It would be great to have that inserted into Dirk post.

By the way, now I am dying to see Turner reaction to Dirk.

Poor Dirk. [biiiig grin]

I was wondering who kept on de-topping this topic. As far as I'm concerned, the main talk thread and the main story thread should both always be at the top, like so...

Eh? Who'm I kiddin'? No we don't. [yuh huh]

I, for one, am still having problems with the phone company. Our phone only works about 8 hours a day, and I'm at work 7 of those. So, if I want to post, I've got to be sneaky about it and do it at work when no one's paying attention. But, I'm working on a way around it and, hopefully, will be back in full force from the homestead in a week or so.

Thanks for the offer, Grimm. I should have all this straightened out in a week or two. Planning on dropping the phone line, picking up cable internet for surfing, and cell phone for calls. The way they're working it now, it's about as cheap as what I'm doing now.

Dude, grrrrarrgggghhhhhhhh! I agree with the main story always being on the top, but the talk thread should be treated like everyother thread (plus its fun to enter the room and see what has new stuff by being on the top - not something thats always on top and its hard to tell if anything new has been added).

Don't make me slap you.

About not being able to post as much, my desktop exploded. I have limited office access with my job (on a very slow "shit" box).

I gave Grimm some info on a post needed before the gang goes to the meta bar (incase I am not able to post it, he will hopefully).

Just so you'll know for future reference, Euro, Dirk has no friends, he trusts no one, and he would never accept the hand of a stranger, without a little something special in mind. He's a bit paranoid. In close quarters, Dirk's almost as good with his hands as he is with a gun in combat.

I hope you like how Dirk responds to Ed's confrontation of him. [biiiig grin]

Hehehe... Mxy should keep the shades as part of his uniform...

Gooz and Grimm: You're doing something very dangerous by delaying that post you're talking about. You're creating a lot of expectation...
