The EPS is fully funded by private business and such as was stated in the first story(read bellow). Also, the EPS was not a part of the MCCA and was created by the Government, but the government gave up all control on the project to Dr. Walker. Only the president and a few assistants even know about the project. The EPS was created to capture, rebilitate, and control metagene holders. Also to learn about them.

Bellow is the post I made helping Chewy advance their origin.

Chicago
A Black 2003 Lincoln Town Car speeds through the streets of Chicago. The streetlights seem to be obeying the cars command and changing just before it passes. Charles Walker, is the uneasy scientist sitting in the back seat, while next to him is Agent Turner, who has been silent the whole trip.

"A 2003 model?" Walker began.

"Let's just say that we get the best of everything well before it's time." Turner said with a hint of a smile, "You will much approve of your new 'home.'"

"Yeah, about that."

"In do time Dr.Walker, in do time."

The rest of the ride was silent, broken only by a simple "wow" which was whispered from Walker's lips as they pulled up to their destination. Wow, was probably the best way to describe it. Almost out of nowhere, a huge silver complex appeared, it spanned a radius of about three blocks and seemed almost too futuristic like.

"Welcome 'home' Doctor."

The Lincoln pulled into an under ground garage and slowed to a stop. The two men exited and entered a long hallway before taking an elevator down to the basement. The outside of the complex was prehistoric compared to the inside which was breath taking. The main basement spanned over three football fields, the white walls gave the place an almost glowing atmosphere.

"The above levels are rented out to businesses, banks, private owners and such. It is these businesses that will fund you and your new position. Everything below ground level is under YOUR control from here on out as long as you meet your quota."

"Hold on. What position, it seems that you have been circling around just what I shall be doing."

"The operation at hand. We pay/fund your research, and in return, you hunt and capture people with the metagene. Using the facilities, you shall train and make them part of your team, using them to capture others and so on."

"Why me, why not some military guy to head this?"

"Dr.Walker, it takes a certain someone to be able to take on these meta-humans, if you understand what I mean. I have full faith in your ability to get the job done. If you need me, keep in touch, but asides that, you are fully on your own."

"On my own? You mean..."

"From here on out, you have NO relationship to the MCCA, if asked about you, we will deny comment. Only the higher ups in the government even know you exist. Good day"

"Yeah, you too."

With that, Agent Turner left Dr.Walker alone to begin his operation.

I like the idea of a nation/country in the Caribbeans, that might be nice

TTT, my new character Sam/Shift (I added a profile of him already...) owns an apartment building (it is old and dirty, but big enough to fit the whole team plus a few others). Heck, if we wanted them too, they could possibly rent out apartments to normal people to try and make money to buy computers, tvs, clothes, etc... (I think our characters need to earn somethings the hard way - I can even picture Neaken saying "Would you like fries with that, Sir?" )

I'd also like to mention some of the ideas that Prometheus had a while back: We shouldn't limit ourselves to straight super-hero stories, but since we no longer have a TOMB, we should use some of the concepts that made TOMB so cool.

We could do more stories similar to INDIANA JONES-type plots, as well as time-traveling (though this should be kept to a minimum) and exploring a subterranean world beneath the Earth. To do this well, of course, we can't be half-assed about it and have the most powerful members fly everyone around or something. That's slipping back into the super-hero groove again. We should strive to be HUMANS in our stories rather than GODS or DEMIGODS. Things for us humans are often difficult to do. I'm concerned that, with too much power, everything becomes too easy.

I wish Pro was back. I think he could really contribute well to a true New Universe.

I like the new country idea. I specially like the little city idea. A little city is not like a little town. A little town is like... "Smallville", with farms and that stuff, and is kind of is out of date. A little city (like the one I live in) has all the technology from a big city, but everything is smaller (malls, main streets, parks). Also, the same people bump into each other. It's not as easy as in a small town to know everyone, but still it's friendlier than a big city.
I like the idea of living in a building. If it's on one apartment or in the entire building, I love it either way.
I think eventually we'll have a time traveling adventure. Maybe it's gonna happen in 5 years, but it's gonna happen. For that, I wanna be prepared.
Has anybody read "Superman: Time and Time Again"? It's a really good time travelling Superman saga. What I liked the most was something Jerry Ordway did:
A few months before that storyline started, Ordway introduced a new villian called Mister Z, that was apparently immortal, and that claimed he had met Superman before. He "died" and left Superman wondering why he thought they had met before. Then, during his time travels, Superman ended up in the 30's, where he met Mister Z for the second time, first time for the villian, explaining the mystery.
I liked that concept, and I'd like to be prepared to do something like that someday...

Me too.

TTT has exactly said what I was intending when I wrote that the heroes had not only to fight small crooks but to stumble upon "misteries".

The idea of a small nation in the Caribbean sounds good, very good. A little city, like Mxy said, could be the best.

Also, I think we should change the title of the serie from "Hero Revolution" to "Super-Friends". Well, maybe not...

Supposedly posted by Gooz in the story thread...

"Nothing important" the boss said. Then his brain drifted back to another time. Pete Glover is standing over two bodies, both men dead. The little guy is furious, his hands shaking, two people he obviously cared much for are dead. A shock of electricity went through Glover's body and emotions overtook him. A hand grabs into his head, knocking him out. A tall figure looms over his fallen body, stabs a syringe into a pulsating vein in his arm, taking out blood. A few moments later, the man injects the blood into his own body. Glover is tossed off a building, the one death that not even luck can stop, hundreds of feet of free falling, hard pavement below. The man snaps back into reality and speaks, "Return Glover to his cell."

Gooz, haven't you seen that X-Files episode with the lucky guy? If Glover fell off a building he'd fall into an open laundry chute or a flatbed truck full of pillows.

Indeed

But we don't have to worry about it any more since this future is gonna be...nothing but a memory.

Founded by a great XIX century swedish explorer which lost the route for the North Pole, finding himself in the middle of palms and white beaches (and naked girls).

T5, the scene at the restaurant was priceless. I will post soon.

I guess it helped that Kristofer Schanz is tall, good-looking, and blonde, though... (that, and the fact that he had probably never been to a disco before in his life led him to believe that it was all due to the good luck drug)...

I've got to visit Sweden again soon...

Right. Though, now that I think about it, I guess it's possible that the negative feelings Glover had at seeing the deaths of two friends (whoever they were) caused him to generate waves of bad luck on himself...

BTW, I'm going to flesh out some of the details of what happened at the end of "Return to Mandelovia" in my "The Monkey's Paw" origin story, including just how Doc Quantum cured Danny anyways, as well as Pete's first meeting the Hero Revolutionaries.

Hmmm... we really should decide on a name

Also, I was thinking, sometime in the future it might be cool for them to go on an old style treasure hunt of some sort, islands always have old hidden treasure myths (would also be a cool way to make some cash after they get fed up with some crappy jobs ).

I sorta like EMBYELLIA

Magrathea.

St. Heliopolis.

Akkadia Isle.

Kilika Island.

Avaylion Isle.

The Fu Xi Islands.

I like Embellyia.

Merde Cove.

So, is this a self-contained island you guys are talking about? I picture a rather large, paradisical isle, with perhaps a large dormant volcanoe center-piecing the entire thing.

Of course, these are just suggestions. I really have nothing to do with this at all....

(But, if it is an island, are there natives? Of what origin? Maybe a lost tribe descended from the Aztecs? Maybe they have catacombs tied into pyroplastic (sp?) tunnels that lead....how far into the planet's crust? Dammit I wish I had time to write. Maybe soon. Dammit.)
