IOW, NMM is basically saying that just about all forms of rock advanced from the Beatles. Which is where I took exception. "Hard rock" has little to do directly with the Beatles, and more to do with bands like the Underground, the Who, the Kinks, the Yardbirds, Led Zeppelin, etc.

So I never said the Fabs invented everything...someone else made that implication.
