You're right, popularity doesn't equal quality. If that was the case N'Sync would be a good "band". However, the difference between that kind of popularity and The Beatles' kind of popularity is that the former doesn't last. The Beatles trascend generations like no other band.

I agree that other bands extended what The Beatles started, becoming superior musically to the Fab Four (like I admitted before).
