By myself at a round metal table, outside in the sun at school, I sit. Finishing off a huge piece of pizza, I am totally relaxed. Not a care in the world. I've been happily productive on various tasks and now i'm out here lazily satisfied. Then there is the Hostess Twinkie. I unwrap it and take a slow massive bite. And it is at this time that I receive a Revelation. A stunning concept. It goes something like this:

after that, lex headed off with her friends and i headed off with mine. she was goin t'see some gay ass jersey band, and i was off to the city to tear up some not-so-great bar. "going to the city" always sounds so much more fun than it actually is. mostly because i'm a short, pale and fugly sunhumma bitch, who can't maximize all of the city's offerings. however, i'm cocky and arrogant and strong enough not to give a damn, spit in the face of my nay sayers, and enjoy it anyway. i am the phausen.
saturday comes to a close at like 3 am. and all hyping up the possible return of rfl the following morn.

mean, like, biblically impossibly beautiful. saturday was low 50s. monday was in the high 30s. but sunday? 78. seventy-fucking-eight. that just isn't right. it isn't possible. i mean, i'm not complaining over here. i'll take that anytime. it just doesn't make any sense! thats two november sundays in a row that were warmer than just about any day in august of this year. and this one was followed by a day in which there could conceivably have been snow.
just friggin weird. but, whatever, we'll humbly accept this solar oddity and use it as the good lord intended; to watch football and barbecue.
lex was there. scottie came over. laquanda followed soon after. there were standard drinking games and mockery of various individuals. most important, tho, was the actual food. scottie and i cooked on the grill outside. he even brought a whole buncha food over, which was really nice, cuz normally, i pay for everything. and not only did he buy and bring it, he cooked it! and the man can cook! it was some good eats, i tell you. sausage and steak and pork chops and all the delicious things that you dream about.
we just sat out on my deck for a while, whilst the food touched the flame. the sun was nice and the breeze was soft. the air was misleadingly warm. it was just fantastic outside. the jets blew it, too, so i prolly woulda been better off just stayin out there.
rock on.
