From "Ozzy's" post:
"What would you have me do?" Ian finally asked in a reasonable tone. Reasonable in relation to the ratio of government agents within this room that possessed firearms, as opposed to the doctors that did not.

"Us, Doctor? There is no 'us'. We are not, nor have we ever been, officially here." Gudheim responded.

"Us"?!

First of all, yes and no to all of the above questions. Place them in whatever order you wish.

Second, Chewy, try reading the dialogue in a flow as opposed to grammatical accuracy, or, literary value. It's just conversation, and the agent was speaking for both of them, not just himself.

Still, if it makes you feel better:

"What would you have me do?"

[ADD REST OF PARAGRAPH]

"Me, Doctor? There is no 'me'. In fact, there is no 'us', at all..." he replied, indicating the other agent sitting next to him.

There.

All in all, if I am to write in this thing, and on this board at all, expect me to try different writing styles and new approaches to convention, If you like, love it. If you hate it, get out of the way...
