Notwedge: Man, you have really taken off with Drake! I'm really digging the personal aspects of his character, and look forward to getting into writing him again.

Doc : My love for Adem Different grows each day. We've discussed what I feel about the character. It's the detective in him that I find the most fun.

Mxy : I'm very curious as to what's up with Link. Got to say, so far, I really enjoy his hippy-ish attitudes. Very contradictory with the wealthy playboy stereotype. Good stuff.

Chewy : Is Icarus Russian? If so, does he have an accent or is he Americanized? Also, does he carry weaponry, like small firearms or something? I think a nice pistol would compliment his look and fighting style.

CJ: So, what are Lykopis' true motivations? Is it just somewhere else to be, something to do in her long, long life? Or is she with VE, still intent on finding immortality? Have I got her character ass-backwards? Give me a hand.

Grimm: I had so many flashes of Marlon Brando and Terrence Stamp in that last post. LOVE it! Your wording and presence in that post was very pure and precise. Give me more.

Ozzy : Are you ever going to get there? Are you ever going to actually bring Ozzy into the group? What is your fascination with this Ian character anyway? And, is he gay, or, was that a joke? Nice use of Huerta, though. That character needs some exploration.

Pro -- I've been giving a lot of thought to Lykopis's motivations...I definatly want to work on the fact that Lykopis needs to be part of a team again. She needs to be around people and feel useful. She still wants to be immortal though, but I don't think that's enough fuel, you know? For now, she would be more interested in becoming immortal if the chance present itself. Vanguard's probably keeping her too busy for Lykopis to actually seek it out.

Sorry if I haven't been so cleared. Sometimes I think my first draft for a character isn't so hot, but hopefully things will work out.

No, no. Nothing like that. But as Pro mentioned, there are some eerie similarities in that scene.

Ceej: Loved Lykopis' poem, is that real or did you come up with it? Great use of Paragon.

Pro: Digging the stuff with Ian/Ozzy/Huerta.

Notwedge: Damn funny. More.

Totally made it up. I tried looking for a poem, but Lykopis is rarely mentioned in anything about Amazons. Usually the only info that's provided it what the name translates to and that Lykopis was know for archery. Sort of a female Orlando Bloom.

Glad to see it made sense. I was trying to get the pattern that all the English translations of Homer's stuff. Like that bit in O Brother, where art thou?

And glad I got Paragon right.

Without divulging too much of Icarus' history (which I'd really rather work on in the stories gradually than divulge here so completely), Icarus is not a Russian, but an American who's lived most of his life in various parts of Europe, like Mandelovia, Russia, and Sweden (to name a few). As such, he'd likely carry his father's (American) accent moreso than any others.

I do intend to tell more, just not right now.

Yeah. I didn't mention it, but he does carry a pistol and a few other 'portable' weapons better suited for 'fly-bys', like grenades and the like. Still, in an effort to keep himself as light and aerodynamic as possible, he doesn't carry too many at one time.

Yeah. Gimme a day or two. I'm working on some stuff with Icky at the moment that I need to figure out before I post again. I'll try to work it out quickly, though, so as not to grind the story to a complete halt so soon if I can help it...

I have no idea what to do with him at this moment... I could just say "and then Link arrived" but that would be lame. If I don't come up with something by the time the rest are there, just have him show up at the last moment.

Well done.

I just realized I had Link move to Paris when the HQ is in Munich. I'll have to alter the fabric of reality and do some retroactive continuity changes in my last epilogue...

Yeah, but Paris can't be that far from Munich. France and Germany are close, Lykopis has to come from Greece, after all. It would be different in Link was coming from New York or something like that.

It depends how they travel. Paris - Munich I think it's three-four hour by car, while central Greece- Munich should take a good fourteen hours or more, by car. On the other hand, if she has a plane, it should be a couple of hours, or maybe even less. Has Lykopis a plane? After all, she was based over WW...

Anyway, I've had computer problems for the past few days. Tried to upgrade to XP and got stuck in a loop. The good folks at Microsoft (that's not to be meant as a mean joke, either. they really went out of their way to help me) have got me back up and going. I, unfortunately, had to sacrafice some programs; but I plan on reinstalling them. The first on the list is AIM, but I don't know if I'll be able to get my old ID's back. If not, I'll let you know what the new one will be.

Ok. Got AIM back on the puter, and I'm still using the doctorwhotb ID. So, that's all good. I'll probably spend the rest of the night getting everything back in order. I'll do a briefing post tommorrow and get this thing rolling.

Ok. There's the basics. I don't have anything planned, so this story can take any turn we want it to go in. Maybe what VE was told was on the ship was, or maybe it wasn't. I don't know. I also don't know what they will find when they get there. Use your imaginations, damnit!

Trying to finish up the Mandelovia/Left Hand storyline. Got two more posts left in that one. Then, when we get ready, VE can deal with that.
