Yeah, I had some awesome, magnificent 10 page posts all ready inside my head, but since the boards were down I couldn't post them. And now the inspiration is gone. Those posts are still eligible for the Kampy awards, though, since it's the thought what counts.

I had some ideas, but couldn't be bothered to remember them. All I know is I was gonna do a VE post and, when I tried to get on to write it, Rob's Boards were kablooey...

Good stuff, Doc. I need time to rewrite the last two Gaunt posts I made. Again.

It took me two years just to write those sentences.

Two, long gobdamned years.

Well, I just wrote the last two postings I did (for the third Gobdamned time). Now, I'm going to backup VE#1 on my computer.

With Jackie being in Hurricane alley, Chewy and Mxy starting school, and Notwedge being MIA for a while, maybe we should look at trying to wrap things up by this weekend if everyone's cool with that. If not, we can wait.

Also, trying to finish up my Dirk solo. I had it all written out before I stated it, but lost it all due to computer problems. I was just going to let it sit there since I didn't feel like rewriting everything, but I've changed my mind. It's going to be a lot shorter than it originally was, though.

It wasn't what I had planned, but, it works just the same, if not better. Originally, I was going to go into Ozzy's head, and sort his origin out once and for all. But, as I began thinking about it, the more I really didn't want to take that avenue at this time.

So, there you go. I'll bring Ozzy into Issue #2 whenever everyone is ready to begin.

Finally! Very nicely done, and most unexpected. I'll finish that one off tomorrow, and try to start wrapping up VE 1, also.

Gaunt took Drake and Link through the shadows to escape the wendigoes, but the creatures found them and they're battling atop the ship. Link opened his eyes while in the shadows.

Icarus, Lykopis, and the hellhounds have now also joined the battle. Who's up next?

Don't know how many more posts like that I'll be able to write, since school's already proceeding to kick my ass. Still, I was inspired to write something before story's end, so that's my [current] contribution to the battle scene. I dunno who else wants to post anything, but we could probably wrap this up in the next few posts.

Years ago we wrote half a dozen posts every night.

Years ago, we were just goofing around with TOMB and the MBL....

I was reading some TOMB and MBL stories last day... are you really sure that now we are writing the great American novel?

Oh, not at all. And, that wasn't what I meant, either.

What I meant was, back in the days of TOMB/MBL, everyone wasn't so worried about creating infinite years of back-up story for their characters, spotlighting their character as the constant hero-of-the-moment, and didn't mind if other writers helped define their characters or character-moments.

Now, everyone has to make sure that their character has novels of back-story, is solo-spotlighted within the group as being more important than others, and is very, very strict about how their character is defined/written/presented by other writers.

If everyone would just relax, and allow the story and writers to go with the flow, we might end up writing six posts a night. Why? Because we wouldn't be worried about making sure that Character A's accent/background/explicit abilities are portrayed in the golden light of heroism, is concurrent to the decimal point with noted and well-established history, and does nothing to present said character in any light/perception than has already been implicitly demanded by said character's originator.

Nowadays, everyone is more concerned with writing characters, instead of stories....

That is true.

That's why I have created the Strikeforce thread.
