Well you're not really all wrong. I just want you to rephrase your statement. Yes Jordan does not deserve all this attention. But you can't just make a sweeping generalism like "NO CELEBRITY SHOULD HAVE HEADLINE NEWS EVER EVER EVER!!" Maybe something like no celebrity should ALWAYS get so much attention from the media.
But hey watch Jordan tonight in the All Star game and you'll see why everyone loves him so much.
Magic having AIDS was good PR for awareness of unprotected sex.
So Jordan playing a great game in your opinion is much better than a fireman rescuing a group of kids??!?!?!?!?!? Or a therapist talking a depressed client from suicide? Or a police officer keeping the streets safe from gang violence??!!>!
Absolutely not.
But in the realm of unworthy icons who always get headline news (J-LO, Affleck, Aguilara, Nelly....) I think Jordan's one of the more legitamate. Therefore, I can UNDERSTAND why people would want to see him so much. I think you don't give enough credit to how much inspiration a role model gives to people.
