Yeah, I agree. I am, however, of the "wait-and-see" mindset. There will only be an initial thirteen episodes for the first season. So, I think this is more of a "mini-series"-type run, where they'll get the proper amount of feedback from across the spectrum of fans and non-fans alike. After that, assuming it continues on, I imagine Davies will tweak it as needed.
Either way, new Who is a good thing.
