Huh. Don't see anything I didn't already preorder that's worth stopping by to check out. As far as my sub books, I'm getting ADAM STRANGE #1 DC THE NEW FRONTIER #6 OUTSIDERS #16 RICHARD DRAGON #5 TEEN TITANS GO #11 AMAZING FANTASY #4 DOCTOR SPECTRUM #2 and KABUKI #2. S/B #12 is FINALLY coming out? I'll believe it when I see it... And we still have to wait for 13 before Pacheco's arc starts up, am I right? Fucking Turner. I don't see the appeal of his work at all. It's a freaking shame DC's giving him high-profile gigs like S/B and the ID covers (which are SHIT next to Rags' interiors).

Fair enough, to each his own. He just doesn't do anything for me. He's not terrible, I'm just not a fan. But my big problem is, fine, take all the time he wants to put out his own stuff-- but B/S 14 was solicited over two months ago and had to be cancelled and REsolicited not because of Carlos Pacheco, but because Turner's the unprofessional one with too much on his plate. And even with 12 finally out, there's no guarantee we're going to see 13 any time soon-- which means this month's solicits for 14 and 15 are probably a pipedream, too. Makes me wish DC would pull a SPAWN and put out the issues that are done... and put out Turner's... whenever he can get around to finishing it.

THIS we agree on. I've been a fan of Ferry's since his Heroes for Hire and Warlock books, even enjoyed the Superboy issues he drew, for the art at least-- and this mini looks pheNOMenal.

I gotta say, i really liked 512. it's a revelation about as big as Aunt May's discovery of Pete's secret ID, in my opinion, and it made a lot of stuff make sense.

Hellblazer 200
Mike Carey’s brought the darkness back into Hellblazer. It feels like he’s taken the title into new ground while paying homage to its long history. His run has been about John Constantine fucking up on an epic scale and then reaping the consequences. He gets hammered down hard in this one.
Anniversary issues can often be no more than a padded-out story but this was really worthwhile. I was a bit sceptical about the inclusion of Steve Dillon (one of the guest artists) because he has quite a cartoony style, but he’s toned it down here – made it look more scratchy and rough.
Brilliant cover art too. Things like this remind me why I read comics.

Just to see what it’s like. I’d quite like to pick up #1 before I read it.
Superman 209
I haven’t read it yet. Overall I think Azzarello’s run on Superman has been much more successful than his Broken City storyline for Batman where he didn’t really get a firm grasp of the character. I think his Superman story arc will probably read better in TPB form but I am enjoying the monthly instalments.
I also flicked through the latest Losers but didn’t buy it. I think Andy Diggle’s best work lies beyond this title.

Just bought a month's worth of comics that have been stacking up. $45. I don't get too much weekly. Not enough out there to really interest me that much. Catching up on the backlog of books and like everything so far.
The Daredevil Anniversary Special had a buncha guest artist doing a few pages of individual little slices that weren't part of an overall story. A few flashbacks to what happened directly after some of the scenes earlier in Bendis's run (like the Punisher being at the bar where Murdoc takes down Fisk and proclaims himself the new Kingpin). Each bit has other Marvel characters like Fury, Doctor Strange, and Spiderman. Ok book to fill in a buncha gaps. A lot of good art. Some ok art.
