Besides the posters there, the format of the current DC message boards is very poor. I have my computer's screen size set at 1024 pixels wide and sit at least 2 and a half feet away from the screen, but because I can't change the text size on the DCMBs -- they used a fixed font -- it's very difficult to read without getting tremendous eyestrain. If I'm really desperate to read a thread there I have to switch from my usual Internet Explorer browser to Opera, which has a "zoom" function.
Things would be so much simpler if it was set up like the RKMBs, with a number of style sheets to choose from (I use Black and blue (large fonts) at the moment).

I can't be bothered. All the people I used to talk to either show up here or don't show up at all. Same thing with any topics I'd want to discuss. And the forums that I used to frequent (mostly Flash and ODCUT) are so cliquey that it's not worth trying to start a topic. The BASH people over at the Flash forum have ruined that forum for me.

There are still some good discussions going on over there. The 100 Bullets forum always seems to have interesting threads and people making insightful comments about the title.
I think the thing that stops me from posting at DC, is that the social element went away when Warners decided that they wanted their forums to be rigidly on topic.
As a consequence, you don't really get to know the other posters like you used to. There's no sense of community as there is here at RKMBs.

I haven't been there for a very long time now. bw7 hit the nail on the head: with the crack down on off-topic posts, talking about Superman vs Thor for the umpteenth time just isn't interesting.
Shame, as I "met" some interesting people there.
It would be a lot fo fun to organise a reunion of old posters at ODCUT one time, but given it would be offtopic and deleted, I don't see the point.

Yeah, I know I sound like a cantankerous old man......
But also, I think it also has a lot to do with my waning interest in comics nowadays. I can't be arsed to get to my comics shop for months on end to pick up my pulls anymore. Yet strangely enough, i'm giddy as hell after receiving World's Finest #142 in the mail from an e-Bay seller (1st Composite Superman, you see..).

I used to love it there, and made some really great online friends on those boards. I even met some of them in real life! But most of them have moved on to other forums, and the new DCMB interface is so horrible it doesn't even seem worth posting there. There is no earthly reason why the DEFAULT order of messages should go from newest to oldest, and you can only change it--if you're LUCKY--by logging in anew every time and changing it to oldest to newest. And then the "Profile" window that pops up and takes up the entire screen, so you can't even click on the status bar at the bottom of the screen--it just sucks, and it's not worth it to go back.
