While I think a lot of what goes on here in Texas is backwards, I would never compain about Dallas specifically, because I like it a lot here. The weather's terrific(no hurricanes, no earthquakes, some tornadoes but rarely in the bigger cities like Dallas), the people are normally pretty friendly and relaxed, and sports are paramount.
It might not be as exciting or as stimulating as, say, New York, but it's a nice, quiet, peaceful place and most of the time I couldn't be happier.
