Dixon is back . . . and yes, I've missed him! Welcome back Marcus! You rock! When Weiss let it slip about himself and Nadia . . . the look on Sloan's face . . . priceless! Okay, when we all thought Sloan was the one going to the meeting and it turned out to be Jack . . . I was like, "What the hell?!?! Who OK'ed this shit?!?!" Oh . . . and I just have to say . . . . It's fantastic to see Michael DesBarres back on TV again (he was Deveraux). I loved it when he would show up on MacGyver and play the crazed Murdoch out for Mac's blood.

Out of everything that is going on in Alias, I'm most excited about Vaughns story line right now. All this stuff with his dad is pretty exciting.

I also found two spoilers that aren't plot related, but I'll give some spoiler space anyhow.
Both of these are from spoilerfix.com
Jennifer Garner has just inked a deal to direct an episode during May sweeps.
Alias is getting a 90-minute finale.

90 minutes? Why only 90? They normally don't do episodes that short, either it's an hour or 2, what gives?

That site also had said this about lost:
The finale is a two-parter, and the second part is 90 minutes long, with the last half-hour virtually commercial free.
Which makes me think that both will be two parters that will both be two and a half hours, with the last half hour being commercial free.

ooooh, I can live with that. OK, this is a direct copy and paste from my LJ community K-Directorate, unedited by me, so it has my little background info on Man from U.N.C.L.E. in it. S P O I L E R S . . . . . . . . . You've been warned.... That was another great episode of Man From U.N.C.L.E. Alias. heh When I read what tonight's ep was about the first thought I had was that's right out of Man from U.N.C.L.E. For those of you not famialiar with the show, it was the predicessor for Alias. From 64-68 Napoleon Solo (played by Robert Vaughn) and Illya Kuryakin (played by David McCalum, an American and his Russian partner, fought to save the world for the United Network Command for Lawn and Enforcement. Each week there was an inncocent that was pulled into their world and was there for the duration of the episode, much like tonight's episode. Unlike tonight's episode though, the innocents in MFU were told which organiztion the agents worked for and some even gained entrance into the gun metal grey walls of U.N.C.L.E. HQ. Like Alias, it had cool gadgets, among them the pen communicator, and the famous U.N.C.L.E. Special (gun). OK, history lesson over (for anyone intersted in learning more about the show, don't be shy, just ask me. The show is in the works of coming back either as a movie or show, which will be kept true to the original, unlike all the other crappy remakes Hollywood has given us), on with my thoughts on tonight's ep.... This was another great, nail bitter. Was Jack having second thoughts about killing Sasha? One must wonder. Marshall's home movie.... BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I'll spare you my repeated review of the bits with the innocent. ;-P LOVED that ending. You could just tell Jack wanted to invite Syd to join him for dinner and to spend time with him. GO SYD for catching that and joining him. LOVED Spy Daddy's smile after that. :-D OK enough gushing. Whose next? ;P

Another good episode. I think my favorite part was the mini-helicopter. That thing was fucking cool! vaughn's storyline was kinda dumb. I hope they don't drag it on too long. I wanna know who he is. I really liked how Sydney had to bring that guy along for the mission. It was done really well and I like it when they show stuff that would probably happen when their out on a mission.

No, what I'm saying is: Those aren't really spoilers, unless spoiler number one spoils it.
As in, Jennifer Garner could do a poor job and mess everything up, spoiling the episode.
Sheesh. You have what, 9000 more posts than me on this board, and you can't think of a better line to counter the one I wrote?
Rex, Rex, Rex.
As for the episode...
Don't read this if you haven't watched it yet.
S P O I L E R
S P A C E
This was a great episode. Everything in this connected to a bigger picture, which is what Alias is all about. The first episodes leading up to the Sark two-parter had nothing to do with each other. Even if something from those episodes pops up later in the season, they are still wasted episodes. IMO, everything before the Sark eps was filler. Nothing more. Now we've got two things going on at once, and you know they will collide by the end of the season. One, Jack and Sloan are up to something. And I don't think it's good, either. At least, it better not be. Two, Vaughn's father might still be alive? And he might be a very bad guy? Well, actually, I would think he is a very bad guy, since he was involved in the Rambaldi project with a little girl named Nadia. Plus, and this is the only thing carrying over from earlier in the season (the premier, which was pretty damn close to filler, IMO), Nadia doesn't know that Jack killed her mother. So that's three things that are going to wind up biting someone in the ass by the season finale.

Slowly but surely catching up! I just fininshed the 8th episode of season three. I don't see why everyone hates this season, I'm loving it so far (moreso, I dare say, than the previous two). Every episode has you cringing, expecting something to go horridly wrong...much edgier than before...it feels like no one is above being killed (except Sydney, of sourse...although I thought for sure they were gonna go with the neural probe...).

The first half of season 3 was great, its later in the season when it got really bad. But thats my opinion, some people really liked it.

I just didn't care for the cliffhanger. I thought it was weak, especially compared with the season 2 cliffhanger. But then, we did got quite a few weeks of crap this season before the last four episodes, IMP. I should have seen it coming. I'm can't tell you how happy I am that Alias is finally taking off now.

Just finished episode 16...It's all good so far. I feel sorry for Vauhn (that traitorous bitch)...but this explains what Sark was talking about in the episode two weeks ago. The 'revelation' of Syney's missing two years was kind of a letdown though. I loved the episode with the bomber guy.

This show officialy sucks. This whole thing now with Vaughns father not really being dead...haven't we seen that a few times now? Does every fucking character need to have some evil parent who pretended to die....but really didn't? I'm gonna go out on a limb here and predict that his father used to be really evil (and only married Mrs. Vaughn as part of a terrorist plan), but now that he's revealed himself he only has Michael's best interests at heart. Soon after he will join the CIA (as an informant in a prison cell) and work side by side with Vaughn and his mother (who has also been CIA this whole time). Much mushy family reuninon drama will ensue...

Check it out- SPOILERS, just in case Quote:
03/23 - The deal with Lena Olin closed last week and Syd's mama will be back for the big 90-minute season finale on May 25. And no one is more relieved than J.J. Abrams. "It's something I've been trying to do for a long time," he says. "I was hoping all year that we would be able to pull this off, and we managed to. I have to give a lot of credit to her agents, who were incredibly helpful in making this happen, because this is certainly a story that we wanted to tell. We're really excited about it." No. I was annoyed that the white subtitles blended in with the background, so I had to strain my eyes to read some of it. Other than that, this was a great episode.

Beware spoilers...
There was the perfect opportunity for Syd to run into Jack's arms for a hug at the end and they ruin it with that! GGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH
Must not send JJ a letter telling him off for that
was never a fan of that relationship. I still say she'd be better off with Will. He could provide the stability that she needs, even though he's CIA. The difference is his family life's more normal where as Vaughn's dad was killed, and he followed in dad's footsteps by joining the CIA.
*shakes head*
Come on! Jack was dying knowing Syd was in a coffin, then when she called into HQ while Marshall was in havana and she was starting to lose it, you could almost hear his heart breaking because he knew very well he could lose his baby girl right then and there. and they go and ruin such a great Syd/Jack ep with her and Vaughn dancing at the end. !!!!!!!!!!!??????????!!!!!!!??????????????

I totally agree with this. Although I don't mind the relationship right now, I still think that Syd should end up with Will at the end. I hope he comes back and they realize this when he brings back that chemistry between them. Also, while he's CIA, he's an analyst, not a field agent. He's the guy waiting for her to come home safe. He's the guy who will be around to raise the kid(s) while Mommy is off saving the world. Vaughn, on the other hand, will die in the field one day. It's inevitable. It's a part of his personallity. When they decide the wrap up this show (and hopefully they'll know it a season in advance so that they can do it right), Vaughn should die.

I think this was a better moment. Syd is totally in love with this guy (even if he is the wrong guy for her). She was following her heart.

That's just not enough. He needs to at least move to where ever they are, so that he can be an occasional supporting character. No more witness protection crap. He doesn't need it, and Sloan can find out where he is now, anyway.
And as for Sark, it seems he wants to stay out of it. Even if not, Will means nothing to him, his true love was Lauren.

This is your only warning for spoilers.... I'm so loving spydaddy even more tonight than I have ever loved him before. I so LOVED Jack tonight. FINALLY we didn't have Syd run into Vaughn's arms at the end, but into her dad's arms like she should have LAST week. I KNEW Jack was the one that shut down the core and not Marshall, but my mom and I cracked up when Marshall jumped up and hugged Sloane who just stood there like Excuse me? So what do you think? Was Jack lying when he told Sloane he was tired? I can't stand to think that he was affected by the radiation, so I have to say either he really was tired, or how close he came to nearly losing Syd before his very eyes was eating away at him. so love Jack. This was probably the best Jack episode ever. I've been saying since season 1 how much he loves Syd and how he'd do anything to protect her. This just proved that once again. He was willing to lose his life if it meant saving his baby girl. :-D SO loved how he killed the guy and ran to save Syd. EEEEEEEEEEE Also, loved Jack's dig at Sloane when Sloane said he doesn't get how Jack can use his daughter like he did, and Sloane said he'd never do it. You just KNOW Jack was mentally slapping him and telling him he already did for that one. HA! OK shutting up now or I will never get to sleep before the sun comes up OH and that Muppets commercial... BWHWHWHWHWHWA That better be on the season 4 DVD set.
It's a rented tux ok? I'm not going comando in another man's fatigues.

I was more excited about the Star Wars commercial.
Do you think Jack is playing Sloan to his advantage? The last couple episodes have shown Jack and Sloan all buddy buddy, but him saving his daughter made me think he's still on her side. I just hope they don't kill him off because of the radiation poisoning.

He's one of my favorites. I was surprised that Sloan and Jack had an ongoing agenda (seeking out Yelena Derevko, something else maybe, too). I must've missed something, subtle maybe.

There was a Star Wars commerical? I must have missed it while I was making popcorn.
You know, Jack really being on Syd's side while working his old budy angle with Sloane, I hadn't thought of that.
I too am worried that Jack is killed off due to the radiation poisoning. I REALLY hope not. He's been my favorite since I started watching.
