Alter Ego Comics' newsletter is circulating a rumor based on Toy Biz's "Marvel Legends" action figure line. The next two waves will supposedly be as follows:

Series 10 - Sentinel Series (shipping in July)
  • 1st Appearance Spider-Man
  • Cyclops
  • X-Factor Cyclops (variant)
  • Angel
  • X-Factor Angel (variant)
  • Black Panther
  • Omega Red
  • Mr. Sinister
  • Mystique
  • Black Panther (variant)

Series 11 - Legendary Riders Series (shipping in October)
  • Origin Thing
  • Logan
  • Iron Man (Hulk Buster Armor)
  • Vengeance
  • Task Master
  • Ultron
  • Wonder-Man
  • Scarlet Witch
  • Logan (variant)
  • Wonder-Man (variant)

I know for a fact Black Panther was planned for release (pics later), so this rumor has some truth to it.

How hard-to-find are Marvel Legends figures, specifically the chase figures? I'd like to collect these some day (I only collect DC Direct figures now), but I don't want to wait too long.

Marvel Legends chase figures are extremely difficult to find. That's a common complaint among collectors, who often have to resort to paying triple the suggested retail price in order to get the chase figures off of eBay.

The regular figures, on the other hand, aren't that difficult to locate. I always see them in Toys R' Us and/or my local comic book shop practically as soon as they're solicited.

Y'mean the two massive, rippling cannonballs connecting his arms to his torso?

Yes, I'm afraid they are.

Oh, wait, you were referring to his mountainous traps.

Yeah, they are ridiculously overdeveloped.

Yes, the oversized slabs of muscle, not the oversized bowling balls of muscle.

Sorry.

Hmm...Think I found the reason his traps look oversized...

Panther's hunched over in that close-up pic.

Look at this close-up, taken from another angle:

While yes, his traps are big in that pic, they're not "I have no neck" big.

Now I'm beginning to wonder what the variant figure's sculpt will look like...

I've been buying them here & there. So far I've seen waves 2,3 & 4. (minus chase figs) There nice looking enough where I wouldn't mind having the Avengers or X-men on the bookshelf. What costume will Wonderman have though? The original Christmas costume, red safari jacket or black leotard?

...the Ultimate Iron Man was cool, too, now that I remember it.

But those are exceptions.

The Ultimate Iron Man is from Marvel Select, a specialized direct market-only toy line, not the mass marketed Marvel Legends.

Sounds like she was just that ugly a figure. Sounds like Toybiz will be including a new & improved figure later on. I hope so, since Wanda would be a great part of any line up. Some figures were released in the foriegn markets & are going for big bucks on e-bay.

Also saw that the next wave will be a Bring on the Bad Guys type wave that will include an additional generic henchman figures from Aim, Hydra, alien Brood & Hellfire Club guard.
