In the latest edition of SmackDown! Magazine, Nunzio hypes the upcoming ECW PPV: "...when I learned about the ECW reunion show, I became very exited. ... The ECW reunion show is going to be awesome. I'm going to see a bunch of guys I haven't seen in a long time, and best of all, it's being held in the Hammerstein Ballroom. ... So for me, this ECW One Night Only Pay-Per-View is like a final chapter to my ECW career."

WWE will be releasing a special ECW Magazine on May 31.

Hammerstein Ballroom?!? Blasphemy! The ONLY place an ECW reunion show should be held is at Viking Hall!

An FBI "family reunion" seems to be in the works as Nunzio (Little Guido), JT Smith, Tony Mamaluke, Tracy Smothers, Big Sal E. Graziano, and Big Guido are all slated to appear.

WWE brass are having conversations with former ECW announcer Joey Styles and are trying to come to an agreement with him. He is slated to announce for Shane Douglas' show the night before. If Styles doesn't announce on the ECW PPV, Tazz, Paul Heyman or Terry Funk seem to be the front runners to commentate for the show.

Tickets are set to go on sale on the weekend of May 14.
The ballroom WWE will be using has approx. 2500 seats, so tickets will be incredibly limited and many fans will be left out in the cold. Prices haven't been determined yet.

I'm glad Big Sal E is going to be there. I used love how Little Guido would ride down to the ring on his shoulders.

They were supposed to be gay right?

He fucked up his neck. He had surgery on it, but that was before the more recent types of surgery that Benoit, Edge, and Rhyno have all had that let them continue to wrestle. He decided it was best not to compete anymore. (That and jobbing to an announcer twice your age will do it. heh.)

Is Sabu in that list? I didn't see his name, but might have overlooked it.

I've got to say that even though it looks like they're working really hard to do this up right, Sabu, Raven, and Douglas would be HUGE omissions from any ECW show. They were all big parts in building ECW into what it was and without them, it would just seem a bit lacking.

But damn I'd love to see Dean Malenko and Lance Storm in the ring again.

Okay, I looked, Sabu's on the list.

Y'know, if you're gonna have Masato Tanaka, then you HAVE to have Mike Awesome as well. Those two had some hella cool matches together.

It'd be nice to see Mike Awesome. I always liked him as a wrestler. Why wouldn't he want to do it, anyway?

He has very little love for WWE after the whole Invasion thing!
The reason he left them was because WWE made it clear they had no interest in him,and were not gonna make any attempt to push him in any way shape or form.
Way I understand it is when WWE bought WCW,they were duty bound to honour certain contracts that were still active.
Awesome was one of those, which is why he was involved!

He might see this as a good one off paycheque if he is contacted, but its entirely possible that WWE would not bother contacting him anyway, due to some of the negative comments he has made about them!

I said he left them,I didnt say he asked for his release!
Whether he asked or they let him go,he still left them!
I doubt he was too worried when they let him go as he knew he was being buried!

In regard to the ECW PPV taking place June 12th, McMahon and Foley have spoken about resurrecting the "Cactus Jack" character for one-night only. Tommy Dreamer is also expected to wrestle on the show.

Staying on the topic of the ECW PPV, there is talk that the recently released Rhyno may still be part of it.

Rob Van Dam issued an update on his website yesterday to inform everyone that his knee was in good condition and that it felt "fine."

Van Dam mentioned that he would return to action at the ECW PPV, but it isn't known whether he will wrestle or now. He said the following:

"This pay per view will live up to the standards all ECW hardcore fans have held for the company and it will beat expectations, because for this one night only…we won’t hold back, and we won’t be held back!"

It's thought that RVD won't be able to wrestle at the PPV, but that is not confirmed at this point.
