But I didn't stare, Star! ...stare, star... hurm.
Anywho, I only gave her what I can best describe as a quick glance; maybe two seconds. She supplied the rest of the hijinks and hilarity. She coulda been a cool person and possibly interested in some white chocolate, but my spidey-sense was telling me otherwise.

That wasn't your Spidey-Sense, those were your nerves. I had them get in the way of kissing a girl I really liked despite what both heads were telling me. I wanted to kiss her so badly, just brush the lock of hair away so I could see her gaze and kiss her. But the closer my hand got to that single lock of hair, the more it shook as though I was going through combination caffiene/nicotine withdrawal. Thanks to my nerves I'll remain stuck in the friend zone with her. Maybe that was a blessing in disguise, though, since she is a good friend.

That sounds more like your conscience tag-teamed with your nerves to prevent disaster.
And how dare you call my spidey-sense just nerves! That's like calling the Force an outcome from massive bacterial infection spread from one familial generation to the next!
...wait.

Why would my conscience tag team with my nerves? It gives me solo beatdowns for not having a girlfriend.
On another note: I wasn't insulting your Spidey Sense. I have one myself. It's especially sensitive to falling glass, impending pranks and onslaughts of female rejection.

Ah, yes. I haven't faced one in a while, seeing as I beat quite a few of them comatose. Of course, that was back in '98 when I was more of a manifestation of my own anger than a human being.

I hope so. Anywho, now there's a girl in my Psych class that's a creepy version of Nicole deBoer. This opportunity I'm not passing up.

Well, she and I are talking pretty well. First time we met as a class, I just happened to sit next to her. The last couple of times, it's been intentional, and on her part. Creepy Girl's looking a little hotter every time I see her.

Surefire way to find out if she's interested: Take her to an arcade or bowling alley and play a few rounds of Dance Dance Revolution with her. If she pretends to admire your footwork, you're in. Experience is a wonderful teacher.

Nix bowling for a minute. I have another idea My university's hosting a dance aboard a cruise liner. This is the perfect opportunity to see which girls are interested enough to say yes.

You didn't finish that sentence!

No, no, no!!! Any girl will be interested if an opportunity to party for free is involved. That's not to say that women are gold-diggers - not all of 'em anyway - but something like that would definitely attract the wrong women. The free stuff approach does not allow for quality control.
You wanna know who's really interested and worth your time, try and find out who's willing to sacrifice stuff to be with you, not just smile and nod to get a free date. I've given away many freebies in the past only to have the girl take the free stuff and run, and I've taken plenty of girls to plenty of great places and ended up not running into them the rest of the night. Don't set yourself up to get ripped off.

If you're referring to tickets, everyone has to pay for their own or for those of their non-student guests-and I plan on asking an on-campus student. If you're referring to somebody going with me for the sole purpose of not going alone, I see your point.

Negative, Captain. The boat ride isn't until Friday night. (Bus leaves at 11, we don't get to the boat 'til midnight. The ride is for four hours.) Otherwise, my situation with women is improving. When they always wave or say "hi," it's a plus. Just last night one of the girls who has an off/on again interest in me wrote her name on my left forearm in marker while we were at the gym (she was working at the front desk). When I joked around and said "So now I'm officially yours," she just tilted her head and gave me the "you're so damn cute" smile. She hasn't done that in a while, so I have to be doing something right.
Hmm...I wonder if the reason they're all being nice to me is...
Nah. I gave 'em apple charlotte because they were being nice to me...

But they do like me, TK. They really, really do.
Okay, okay, some tend to like me more when they're drunk. (But who doesn't enjoy my company when they're wasted?) The point is they like me enough to be my friend even when they're sober.
