The only thing can bring a racist family closer is a baby.

But don't do that! :) Obviously, I'm a product of an interracial marriage, and the white side (dad's) of the family, never truly accepted me, let alone my mom. Eventually, feelings changed, but it took years.

Plus, family is not the only problem. There are still hardcore racists out there who won't accept any "mingling" at all. Even here in this seemingly liberal state of California. A lot of daughter's fathers didn't like me on the fact I was mixed.

After all that crap I wrote, there's no simple answer to it on how to tell your family. Just live for yourself right now.
