Given the span of time in which the bris has been performed, and that I believe it's mentioned in Genesis, one has to assume that Jesus was a circumcised man.

Which rasies a new question. If Jesus blood is holy (a la the grail) and his sweat is holy (a la the shroud) does his little tip have any powers?

Jesus's blood as a substance had no special powers. If he cut his finger (wich prolly hapened more than once seeing as he was a carpenter) and someone touched said blood they would not be redeemed. When the Bible speaks of teh Blood of Jesus it refers to the sacrifice He made on teh cross.
Oh and yes i realise that you don't really care.

Say's the Bible. It's all about context. It's quite clear if you read it. Would you like to read it? I could get you one.

John 3:16
It's comunicated through the entirety of the gospels. Since you've read the Bible so many times perhaps you could point out where it's ever mentioned that jesus' phisical blood has magical powers?

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
How does that make it clear that biblical references to the blood of Jesus are references to the sacrifice He made on the cross?

OK, before I spend time on this, can I ask an honest question. Do you really care? Honestly if I think there's going to be value out of this I'll invest some time into it, but if your just being contrary then you get what you get (This approach I learned from you by the way) So honestly. Do you care? Do you honestly believe the scriptures attach magical powers to the physical blood of Jesus rather than his sacrifice on teh cross or are you just being a r3x?

Well, now, that's something different entirely. It's quite clear in the Bible that Jesus was a snazzy dresser. The right ensemble can heal anything.

That's fine, but is this going to be one of those debates where you refuse to ever state what your position is, because those get old fast. Any hoo, I'll start simple.
OK, 1 John 6-8 (we know from the whole of 1 John that he is speaking to a group that includes some people who never encountered Jesus in person and can be assumed never go "bled on"
Quote:
6If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. 7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
We have "the blood of Jesus" directly tied to the covenant and the "walking in the light" and having fellowship with one another.
From Hebrews:
Quote:
19I particularly urge you to pray so that I may be restored to you soon.
20May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, 21equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Here it's clearly stated that the blood refered to is the blood of the covenant. I'm sure if you've read the Bible numerous times you know that Jesus is refered to as teh sacrificail lamb. and that all covenants from teh Adamic to the Moseic to the Abramic covenant have allwase been sealed in blood with a sacrifice. And when refering to the "blood of the lamb" would refer to the covenant made with the sacrifice of said lamb.

I'm sorry, but am I the only Christian here who thinks this is hilarious? C'mon, stop thinking about the eternal consequences and start thinking of medieval knights guarding the century old tip in a shrine.

Okay, but how is it clear that they are not talking about the blood that coarses through Jesus' body, both long before and right after sacrifice?

Again, how does any of that prove that "the Blood of Jesus" does not refer to Jesus' blood throughout his life? Agreed, the spilling of his blood, his sacrifice, was important to the creation of the new covenant and the making of the old covenant obsolete (Heb. 8:13), but how does this make Jesus' lifelong blood not the blood of the covenant?
