Cut the man some slack. He's doing a good job of accomodating the majority of our avatar requests. Rob, did you add the Yzerman with the Cup and the Whitestar? I just went looking for them, hoping to finally be able to give myself some personality, and I don't see the options in the avatars.

btw, if anyone would like to make and send me a home-made avatar in the meantime, since i'm slower than... something very slow...
here are the requirements:
1) image must be a GIF or JPG file
2) image must be in 72 resolution (72 dpi)
3) image must be no larger than a 1.2 inch square (86 pixels square)
4) image must be no larger than 1.0 kb!

convert to a gif -- it limits the amount of possible colors. and you have control of that limit, anywhere from 2 to 256. i'd recomend something in the ballpark of 12-32 colors. it abstracts the image a bit, but not so much you can't tell what it is. i'd also recomend simply reducing the physical size of the avatar.  this one, for example, is only 16 colors and less than 50 x 50 pixels, but still looks very sharp.
