Thinking about it, the closest person I can describe him as is Snake Pliskin.
He's a criminal who is given a chance to do some good by being shipped off to one of the shittiest places ever, with very little chance of survival!

That GN isnt the cheapiest (but can be picked up slightly cheaper here obviously), but I'd say its worth investing in.

Dunno if it would be coloured though as I seem to remember most of his stuff being B&W.
