Yeah, blood in the shark tank as it might be to say here, I'm actually a big Geoff fan. Hell, he (and Gail Simone) actually put The Fox and The Crow in their comics (Geoff in Teen Titans, Gail in Birds of Prey and a mention in Secret Six). So, no, I didn't sucker-punch him.
I did however introduce him and Dan DiDio to the one character that hasn't seen the light of day in far too long, and is substantially more badass than a Chinese cargo trailer full of Wolverines... he who embodied a pack of old Jewish writers' worst hippie fears... he who was once billed as "America's Most Disgusting Super-Hero!"... Super-Hip!
When I handed him a copy of the above comic, he gazed at the majesty that was Super-Hip, smirked, and assured me, "He's in." ...What that means exactly, I have no idea, but the DCU may never be the same.
I'm hoping that next year will look something like...
