Just thought I'd remind you guys  Anybody have a great mom out there? Back in high school I worked really hard musically and academically. After working for several months on my flute audition piece for state, I performed it perfectly. When we saw the results, I was astounded. My arch nemesis had done horribly and yet she had made it and I hadn't. My mom wrapped her arm's around me and said, "Sometime's life is unfair and cruel. It's up to you to rise from failure and never give up on attaining your dreams. Always remember, you never have to achieve anything for me to love you." Ya'll have any mom stories?

mugh mine wasn't around much due to business travel she supported my interest in theatre and art supported the fact i was willing to go against and argue against everything they shoved down our throats in catholic school.
And, to be fair, one of my favorite friends there is blind and I take every opportunity available to make fun of that and we're still friends. That guy never fit there. He never got the spirit of the RKMBs. We're gonna keep an eye on the obits, see if he finally left or if he really did have a heart attack.

I've got a good great mom & grandmother and was feeling pretty good about the cards I sent them. I even sent cards from their dogs too but effed it up good by not stamping them. So either they got them with postage due or they didn't

Well... back on topic this is my first Mother's Day without my mother, and as far as those go it went better than I expected. I normally get Sundays off of work but I was asked to work 5 hours so that some females who happen to be mothers could have some time off. They made it up to me by giving me time off in the middle of the week, and it was slow enough that I had time to at least think of her, and someone from these boards told me a while back he's glad I was on good terms with my mother in her final days, and that he hopes it will be the same with him.

I took my Mom out to dinner on Friday, May 6, and it was quite nice! We went to an all you can eat Chinese restaurant. The food was EXCELLENT except we both wound up with REALLY hot food, the kind that would make Woody Wood Pecker have flames coming out of his mouth and smoke from his ears! But the rest of the meal was cool. We both ate till we were really full!
Sunday, I took her out to lunch and we had Pizza!! It was really good!! Then we went shopping for a few things we both needed, then we went home. That was Mother's Day weekend. It was pleasant.
