Actually, every one of these guys have "never pay for a drink in any Boston bar" status. But you're right. The fact that Schilling allowed himself to be maimed in order to pitch in his second ALCS outing (and in the World Series) elevated him to being untouchable in the eyes of most fans.

I think it's gutless for another player to run to the media and say something like that and do so anonymously. Gutless fuck.
