hey, howsit goin. as recently pointed out by ... well, me... we're approaching our 5th birthday on these heeyah forums.

1,600+ days and 1,600+ screen names later, we're a massive community of 8, maybe 10 posters! cower in our might!

anywho... in partial celebration and partial promotion, i figured we could have ourselves a wee lil contest, in an effort to ensure the greatness and legacy of these boards -- what the typhoid-enhanced dave entitled "beat the drum."

i love the rkmbs. you love the rkmbs. and, damnit, now, its time to show it.

our 5 year anniversary approaches, roughly 3 months from now. your goal is to give back to the rkmbs. however you see fit. the bigger, the better.

if, to you, that means reviewing every comic book you've ever read? go for it. if that means starting your own rkmbs-based comic book? sweet. if that means getting your entire physics class to become posters here? great! can you finally get the e-zine started here on the boards? can you mention "rkmbs" on oprah? or larry king? will you hold up a "rkmbs.com" sign at a wwe event? can you get the boards listed in the guinness book of records? can you make a series of rkmbs.com t-shirts at cafepress, and hand them out to your office?

we're looking for big splashes. big kick backs. BIG contributions to make these boards even better than they are. imagine national recognition! televised message boards! one hundred new, on-going, (dare i say it) non-alt posters! magazine-quality articles!

we'll publically vote on the winners (no alt-enhanced poll cheating) -- and i have actual prizes, too! two brand new gameboy advance SP systems, a brand new gamecube, boxes of comic books, and a few other actual, real prizes are yours for the ...competing for!
