Sorry. I'll clarify. The purpose of my comment was to highlight the fact that photomanipulations alone do not necessarily qualify an actor or actress to portray said character in a film. While photomanipulations are pretty and fun to look at, they are entirely one dimensional due to the fact that they are not only a single moment in time, but also only a representation of the physical attributes of the actor or actress. Thus, I commented that all of the candidates do indeed look passible as the Joker and thus can serve as an adequate freeze frame into his character.

This is what I disagree with. The photomanips are for me to judge by, the acting is for the director and casting director to decide on. The three current 'pics' are not to my aesthetic satisfaction.

My comments regarding Hamill were designed to highlight his successful run on the popular shows Batman the Animated Series and Batman and Robin. I personally thought that his voice acting was amazing and showcased many elements of the Joker's character. Thus, he has more credibility when it comes to the Joker than others.

I agree that Hamill does a good animated character voice. I do not, however, think the movie ought to employ a voice-over. That would seriously detract from the movie. As Hammil cannot possibly pass as Joker physically I'd say he's so far out he'll have to take a bus to return to the same continent. As for being the 'ultimate' Joker voice I also disagree. In my head Joker's always had a unique voice. Although Hamill works for a cartoon I cannot hear him as the "real" Joker. It's too... fake. Too contrived and forced.

Of the three options I might be able to see Paul Bettany - if he can act. He seems like he might be able to pull off a sort of DKR Joker look. Aside from that I think the two best aesthetically Jokeresque options are the Dr.Who guy (my current favorite as he can do the eyes and smile) and Crispin Glover (although I haven't seen his smile, he plays a good psychotic and has the other physical features - hight, too skinny, etc.). They won't have the right guy unless my pants are wet by the end of the program.
