Sequel confirmation, F/X article
Author: Jett, BOF Staff
Thursday, Septmeber 8, 2005 - 6:21 AM, 7:08 PM CST: Hey y'all, Jett here. I received an email today that confirmed to me that Mr. Nolan will be directing the BATMAN BEGINS sequel after his next film. The latter he is prepping as we speak. THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL ANNOUCEMENT. Sorry I can't be specific as I'm protecting the ID of my source, but trust me on this one. Damn! That info is going to take some steam out of my next op-ed that will be posted this weekend. But I'm certainly glad that Nolan will return - not that I ever thought he wouldn't...

The Joke's on Hulme and Bettany, The BOF MAILBAG - A Huge Success!
Author: Jett
Saturday, Septmeber 17, 2005 - 7:14 AM, 5:11 PM CENTRAL TIME: Two of BOF's best - and completely unrelated - sources have confirmed for us that Australian actor Lachy Hulme (pronounced "Lock-ee Hewm") and British thesp Paul Bettany are the only actors that BATMAN producers are considering for the role of The Joker - at the momment. One of these two sources also told us that screen tests will indeed take place this fall, although it was unclear if one or both of these actors are testing...

In addition, one of these same sources told BOF that we were "dead on" regarding our report that Mr. Nolan will indeed return to The Cave once he completes his next project - which is said to be THE EXEC for Warner Bros. "Bad news" for me I guess (*Jett laughs his ass off*)...

----------------------------------------------

So Nolan's there, that's good. Joker, although not explicitly said to be in the next Batman film, is down to either being the DKR version or the 1970's version (going off visuals only).

Fuckin' A, I'm still interested.
