10-4 with the Panthers' win over a very game Favre and the Pack. Favre's not done, but his Pack is.
I'm presuming everybody will keep their own score...anyway, I'm 27-21.

Given how many times those 49ers beat my Bengals, the Niners get no sympathy from me. You're feeling low? Go look at the pictures of the 5 Lombardi Trophies on display at the 49er headquarters. That'll pick you up.

yes very true...and now the future begins cause it was just announced that Alex Smith will be starting. So long Tim Rittay. You've been replaced by someone that may suck now but at least he has upside.

I finished the week 7-7. My Buckeyes lost on Saturday, my Bengals fell Sunday night (in a game that ended up fairly exciting) and those damnable Steelers won again (but the Bengals have one more in the win column to keep them alone atop the AFC North).
I'm 34-28 for the year.

Atlanta at New Orleans (San Antonio, TX)
Carolina at Detroit

Jacksonville at Pittsburgh (though I'll root for Jville)
Miami at Tampa Bay (my boss is a Dolphins fan)
Minnesota at Chicago (the Vikings are a disgrace)
N.Y. Giants at Dallas (only because it's in D)

The first one was a 3-hit combo.
Jim, how can I root against my home team?

The Lions are good and when Garcia becomes QB in 2-3 weeks they will be even better. Potential playoff team.

Oh, you can't. I'm not asking you to.
But I don't see picking these games in this forum to be rooting for or against a team (unless one explicitly says that's what he's doing).
I was more than happy to see your Lions deal a loss to the Ravens. Don't like the team, don't like that coach.

This deserves repeating...
"Hear that Bengal growlin' mean and angry
Hear he comes a prowlin' lean and hungry
An offensive brute
Run, pass or boot
And defensively he's rough, tough
Cincinnati Bengals
That's the team we're going to cheer to victory
Touchdown Bengals get some points upon that board
And win a game for Cincinnati "

In my time, I've heard that song blaring over the very-bad speaking system at long-gone Riverfront...
If anyone is interested, since 1974, at games I've attended, the Bengals are 11-7.

I'm 9-4 on this weekend, going into tonight's game.
Also, as of right this second, Carson Palmer is clearly the NFL's Most Valuable Player. His closest competition is LaDanian Tomlinson, but I give the nod to Carson since the Chargers are only 3-3 and the Bengals are 5-1.
We get a national game Sunday when Pittsburgh comes to town. You know right this second they're doing everything short of laying on of hands to make sure Ben plays vs. the Bengals. Very gratifying to see the Jags intercept Maddox and return it for the OT win.
