Grandia, grandia II, chrono cross, shining the holy ark, shining wisdon, shining force III, mystaria/blazing heroes, final fantasy..a little, I have rpg maker but damned if I can figure it out, I have the one rpg where you go on dates in the middle of the adventure-pretty weird and I never finished it, phantasy star, KOTOR... I still haven't played lunar II and I own it???....
I generally only liked sega based rpgs, grandia and chrono cross have swayed me though...
Grandia and KOTOR are my 2 favorite games of all time...
Grandia is the best "pure" RPG I have ever played..I also still play blazing heroes every so often when I break out the saturn..I really liked that rpg.

Grandia Xtreme is for the PS2. Its a different game from Grandia II. They both are on the PS2. Its a good game. Check this website for more info on it http://www.square-enix-usa.com/enix/grandia-xtreme/Which FF Tactics are you talking about, PSOne?

yeah..that one. Is there another one.? Apparently I'm behind.
All I have are x-box, ps 1, saturn, and dreamcast.
I have no real urge to get a ps2 at this time....I could probably be swayed if theer are a couple of exclusive games though...taht would make it worth it.

The only RPGs I've ever liked are Super Mario RPG(called Legend of the Seven Stars or some such, right?) and Final Fantasy X.

Dark Cloud 2 is a good game.
- Final Fantasy X
- Final Fantasy X-2 (I was skeptical at first, but after I played the demo I decided to get it when it comes out).
- Grandia Xtreme is for the PS2 only. I heard rumors about a Grandia 3 for the PS2.
- Kingdom Hearts is a great RPG. Its a Squaresoft-Disney game. Dont let the Disney part discourage you.
- Wild Arms 3 is pretty good (Wild Arms 1 & 2 are for the PSOne, also good).
Do you like action/adventure games like Castlevania?

I like RPGs, then strategy games (civilization, empire earth,1602, sims/city, coaster tycoon, etc), then I like stuff like metal gear & tomb raider, I also like clancy games..but some are first person and I really hate first person..although ghost recon changed my view a bit.
Not a huge platform fan....
Any football game is good..especially sega. I like DOAX volleyball for obvious reasons, but other sports games besides racing (all types) don't interest me much.

Romance of The Three Kingdoms VIII is a great stradegy game. Devil May Cry (part 1) is also great. Metal Gear Solid 3: SNAKE-EATER is coming out next year for the PS2. If you like transformers then you might want to check out Transformers Armada: Prelude to Energon. The game looks good (do not compare to the horrible Armada cartoon). Theres another Transformers game, featuring the original G1 characters, in the making. Not sure if is coming out in the U.S. The new Castlevania game for the PS2 looks pretty good. Its made by the same people that made Castlevania Symphony of the Night (a classic).

It´s good, it´s damn good, though the expansion Shadows of Undrentide singleplayer module really sucks. the normal Neverwinter Nights module is really good, the interaction with the npcs holds a good part of the game, not too much though, the options are great, there are many sidequests, ´really many, still haven´t done them all. the game is worth every second!

Dude, I so crack out on Civ. II.
I don't play as much as I used to, but Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior, Zelda, Orge Tactics, and the Fallout series are some of my all time favs.
Just tried Knights of the Old Republic for X-Box just for kicks (thinking it was a 3rd person shooter like all the other console Star Wars games) and have gotten addicted to it as well. Combat get's a bit tedious, but the freedom and interactions are great. Swoop racing could have been handled better, though.

The Zelda games kick ass. Chrono Trigger is definetly a fav of mine. I love time-travel games. How does Chrono Cross compare, isn't it a sequel or a spin-off? Final Fantasy X was an amazing game, I'm psyched for the sequel. The only problem I may see with it is the 'girl power' angle it has. I'll rent it first. I rented Kingdom Hearts (I'm a Disney fan) which was cool. I wish I got more time to play it. Anyone have any RPG recommendations?

Aside from the old skool Final Fantasy games, I liked Planescape: Torment, the trippiest goddamn PC RPG you'll ever play.

I resent that...ehhhh, ummm, well, not really, but anyway... Believe me, you can nuke the opposing cultures just aswell in civ3 as you can in civ2, though I have to admit that I have never waged true nuclearwarfare in civ3 as I have in civ2.....THEY STARTED IT!!!
But anyway, I´ve just played Arx Fatalis, though I have yet to complete it I find it actually quite good. Action is great part of the game but it does have some Roleplaying. Overall it is more a Fantasy Shoot-em-up than an actual roleplaying game. But still, it holds the basic elements of RPG. There are alot of sidequests beside the main quest and the setting is quite genius....I wish I could provide a link to it´s website, but it´ll have to wait a bit.
Anyhoo, nuclear warfare in civ is just plain good ol´ fun ![[biiiig grin]](images/icons/grin.gif)
