We can now put a face on one of the villains in the upcoming "Spider-Man 3."
Sony Pictures Tuesday revealed the first shot of Thomas Haden Church as Flint Marko, aka Sandman, on the official "Spider-Man" Web site.
Church is coming off his Oscar-nominated role for Best Supporting Actor in the 2004 dramedy "Sideways."
"That '70s Show" star Topher Grace has also been cast as a villain in the film, pegged for a May 4, 2007, release.
The follow-up to the blockbusters "Spider-Man" and "Spider-Man 2" will again star Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson and James Franco as Harry Osborne.
Based on the iconic comic book character created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, "Spider-Man" will once again feature director Sam Raimi at the helm.
Released in 2002, "Spider-Man" webbed an amazing $403 million at the North American box office. Its sequel, "Spider-Man 2" snapped up $373 million.

Hmm... He doesn't look too bad as the Sandman. I always thought of Marko as a tad more buff, but otherwise he seems to fit the part pretty well.

He actually looks pretty good in the role of Sandman. Who is Topher Grace playing again? I'm a lil nervous about them using more than one villian as that seems to always fortell major suckage (Poison Ivy/Freeze; Catwoman/Penguin, etc.), but so far the Spidey franchise has been good, so...

Catwoman/Penguin was excellent. Batman Returns was a depply psychological film.

Catwoman/Penguin was excellent. Batman Returns was a depply psychological film.
Pfieffer was an amazing Catwoman, but overall the movie was awful.
