Honestly Rob I just dont get you now.
The DC board is an official board by AOL/Time Warner/DC Comics.
they obviously hope that kids and grown ups and old farts like you and me can go there without thinking twice. They obviously dont want a page where parrents have to fear their children get exposed to all kind of crap not suited for kids.
Sure I do remember times where board politics allowed more then today but I DO get the point and still have fun.
People that feel they need more mutareu themed discussions have pleanty of chat rooms all over the www and I am sure they willf ind èm.

if you have fun, then enjoy them! no reason why you shouldn't, and no one is asking you to stop. i was with the dcmbs at the very beginning, so i know and understand how wonderful a place they can be. its a great outlet, and a free one at that!
however, this discussion was re-sparked by someone (jim) who is not having fun, and those that would agree, for a myriad of reasons. and whether that person is older and a poster for years OR a newly registered 12 year old, the dcmbs, in the odd state they're now in, can be amazingly frustrating. waiting up to 2 days to see your own post or a reply to the conversation is taking "bulletin boards" back 50 years.
as for "mature conversations" ... im not exactly sure where this was mentioned. closest mentioned by me was "serious / fun" -- which ranges the full gamut.
and last, but not least... were the natureboys to exist, and thats rumor at best, wasn't it me that exiled them and hundreds of minions from the dcmbs? (answer: yes)

I dont know if I actually ever "got" you. I think I allways respected you and while at times grudgingly allways accepted what you did.
But seing how you basicly aplaud the guys who fucked the place up so badly encouraging them to go on and lure posters over here while @ it I quickly loose all respect for you man.

I read what Rob is saying as this: He's just a guy who works there and has no real control over policy dictating the DCMBs. On a personal and professional level, he's not happy with what's going on there, but is really not in a position to change it. So he advocates coming here as opposed to staying there and enduring ridiculous restrictions (the two forums I post at over there haven't had a new post since Feb. 20).
