My point was that you have taken care perfectly of the problem when Phil detained Nadia to push the button on the cellular phone. I was expecting that would have been Sidewinder to do that, scrambling the communication, but it's the same. The police had NO way to know they had to come there,
Look, I am not saying that the police was to be used; I was not expecting it at all. I was not expected to have Nadia coming out as a winner, obviously she will NEVER be able to bring Ozzy to justice (as the ending of this subplot is bringing Nadia on the team, not Ozzy out of it).
I was going with Pro request to buy time until he was going to do the post where Nadia would reveal why he killed Drake; else I would have done a very different post.
As for why I did negate (?) Sidewinder keeping the police out of the general area, I don't know how much that area could be; I hope it was nothing more that the block, else an invisible force centered over a place that keeps police force out of a visible portion of the city would just mark the spot, not keep them under the hood.
Also, I don't think he would keep police away from a bank robbery where there are hostages and such... or maybe the arrival of the police was contemporary of the attack, when he was largely distracted...

So Pro... even though I did use my character in my last post, I tried to take your advice. Yeah.

I was not asking you to change your post. I was merely pointing to the writers that while Pro did her well, you didn't, to direct the building of the character in the right direction (and, for the "you didn't", I mean the bluffing part. Just that one).

Phil : First of all, well done on the post. You did exactly what I was hoping to see. Some serious character introspection and realism. I detected a hint of personal truth in all of that, and THAT is exactly what made it fucking work. Seriously, good job.
Now, two questions:
1.) How the hell did they get on a train, when Lyly is selling her body to some dude to buy train tickets for everyone? Did you gloss over that little setup she left? Also, why are they headed for Hamburg? Where are they going and why did they leave Lyly and Merrick behind?
2.) A personal bomb has just been dropped on Ozzy. He has found out that he is responsible for the death of his friend, and personal hero, Drake Marshall. I specifically asked in the talk thread that everyone leave Ozzy morose, quiet, and in the background of the posts until I can come along and deal with the emotional and personal repercussions. So, why is Ozzy calm, relaxed, and somewhat jovial talking to Phil? Did you gloss over that, as well?
I look forward to some explanations. Thanks.
Euro : Perfect. Absolutely perfect. I will add a post later that has Vanguard trying to catch up with Nadia and Ozzy on a train...or wherever the group is at the time. It's just for Ozzy to be able to explain to the group of his reasons, and, for them to just let him go. Thanks man. Well done.

Now, now, children... Okay, you may be wondering if I'm writing Ozzy out, or, leaving the writing. The answers are, yes and no. Yes, I'm writing Ozzy out. I will continue what's left of his story in a solo, that will guest star all the other characters, too. That's forthcoming within the month. Why am I writing Ozzy out? Because I feel his character has and will come full circle to a point. And, I would rather put him away than run him into the ground. As for who I am going to write as a character, well, I haven't decided that yet. Meanwhile, I'll still be writing posts just to advance the story along. Now, I've given you some group-emotional fodder to play with. Some characters may be torn up about the loss of Ozzy. Others (Victor) may not care. It's up to you. But, realistically, I don't see everyone still having gumdrop-and-candycane emotions right now. The point is to break these characters down, and realize that....bit by bit...they are losing everything. Where do they go from here? Up to you...

I'd like to start posting again, my wife and I just got a new computer and, if things go as planned, we'll have it hooked up to internet by the end of the week. I just have to figure out what the hell is going on first...

And I have, in fact, posted.
Think of Icarus' newfound talent to be something like the Engineer from The Authority. I'll elaborate a bit more on this ability later, but for now, all you need to know is that he can turn his arms/hands into guns.

Somethin' I wanted to do in VE and didn't really get the chance; conflict between the rest of the team and the one who has no qualms killing.

Not me. I'll be doing some stuff in the next story. BTW, if everyone is cool with it, let's not "name" the stories. Let's just make them "Vanguard 2", "Vanguard 3", and so on. Sure, sometimes one of us has a story to tell. But, nine times out of ten, it either goes nowhere....off its original course...or, is simply dominated by one faction. If we just number them (ala' Ultimates), it leaves those stories open to becoming anything. That's just a suggestion. And Euro...no. No, we are not going back to the Revolutionary days. Just because Vanguard may be on some wanted lists, does not automatically make them a ragtag group of do-gooders always on the run. There are plenty of corners in the world to hide. Respected, or not...

I guess I'm just trying to find some way of differentiating them from previous stuff. Suggestions/thoughts?
