Not alot of action but I really enjoyed it. Tony Stark, Reed Richards, Prof. X, Doctor Strange, Black Bolt and T'Challa the Black Panther make up this super group that will help prevent any major disasters from ever happening.
Long story short.....they hardly ever agree. Namor is a douchebag. When Tony Stark brought up the Super Hero registration act they split up.

Best book this week. I like reading about the Machiavellian machinations that a group like this would provide. I'd probably enjoy it as an ongoing series.

yes, this grew out of New Avengers. it was good, though largely uneventful. more backstory than anything.
although I did like the revelation that they were the ones who sent the Hulk off planet, using a Nick Fury LMD and SHIELD. that was cool.

I forgot about that part....that was awesome. Shades of Identity Crisis. That was fucked up what they did. Hulk wasn't too happy about that.

hopefully, they'll have some nice ramipercussions from that when the Hulk gets back. he's always been kind of an outsider. now he's got a real reason to hate the other heroes. could be interesting.

 Plus the Hulk is infamous for overcoming barriers set up to stop him. I'm sure that he could eventually overcome even psychic control.

In what book. In Illuminati, all they say is that Banner and Xavier sat down and talked. They never really said that Xavier tried to banish the Hulk.

I just read it, BTW. It was very damn good. I approve.
Very little action at all, but it does a great job of putting these five people together (T'Challa is never part of the Illuminati) and showing how they'd really interact. The personalities and monologues were perfect.
I just wish we'd "heard" more from Black Bolt. The Inhumans are underused, in my opinion, and I would've liked to have seen the character get his chance to shine.

Okay, honestly, I'll give this book some props. There were, indeed, some good moments. I personally enjoyed Namor trying to kill Tony. Don't fuck with the Imperius Rex!
Here's what I didn't like: Tony's whole "I'm a 'Futurist'" monologue. I mean, sure, okay...if he and Reed have some theories on how and why things may or may not happen, no prob. They're both bright guys.
But, in essence, Bendis just states...almost point-for-point...the entire upcoming plot of this Civil War. He even mentions that one of the "young kids" will do something wrong that opens the can of worms.
Give me a fucking break! Why not just have him outline exactly who, what, when, and why...and then, no one would have to buy the book? For being able to "predict future trends" to a finely descriptive narration of your upcoming crossover is a huuuuge leap. And, bad writing in my opinion.
And, Mxy my dear....of course they're ripping off Identity/Infinite Crisis. You know Marvel has no original ideas...

According to the previews Namorita and Nitro start everything. And according to rumours a group of American heroes move up to Canada to avoid registering themselves and become the new Alpha Flight.

-Captain America will refuse the registration and go up to Canada to form the new Alpha Flight. Johnny Storm will be beaten into a coma, Sue will die, and She-Hulk and Hawkeye will join the FF. Spider-Man will reveal his identity, Grant Morrison's Marvel Boy and the Squadron Supreme will join the Marvel U proper, and Wolverine will still appear in every single Marvel book ever.

 you really think it'll be Spiderman who'll reveal his identity? I think Spiderman will be the hero that goes against Tony Stark. All the Spider and Avenger books have made Peter, Tony's bitch boy. I think it will be a "shock"  when he rebels against his Master.

Good points. Spidey's about the only character that has a secret identity anymore. So, I was just hoping they would do something like that. I mean, for all I know, it'll be Matt Murdock going "I'm Daredevil!", and everyone will be like "We know!". Or Cap. Or even Tony. There are no secret identities left in the Marvel U.
So, yes, it will be Spider-Man. I have spoken!
